Product Description

Brighten Your Home with Supreme Hydro Ivory Oak

When it comes to interior design, a floor does more than just fill a space—it sets the tone for your entire home. The Supreme Hydro Ivory Oak from Balterio is the ultimate choice for those seeking a bright, airy, and sophisticated aesthetic. Featuring a soft, creamy white palette with delicate wood grain details, this floor creates a sense of calm and expansive space. At Floorstore Direct, we have earned our reputation as the best place in Ireland to buy laminate flooring by providing world-class products that combine “True-to-Nature” beauty with the resilience needed for modern living.

The Ivory Oak decor is perfect for the popular Scandinavian and minimalist trends, providing a neutral foundation that makes your furniture and decor pop. As a centerpiece of the Balterio flooring collection, it captures the authentic look of real timber while offering a surface that is much easier to maintain than traditional white-washed hardwood.

HydroShield Technology: 24-Hour Water Resistance

In a busy Irish household, spills and splashes are a fact of life. The Supreme Hydro range is specifically engineered with HydroShield technology, ensuring your floor is 100% water-resistant. This isn’t just surface-level protection; the precision-milled joints are designed to prevent water from seeping into the core for up to 24 hours.

  • AC4 Durability: Certified for heavy domestic and general commercial use, this 8mm laminate is built to withstand the “daily grind”—from pet claws and high heels to the sliding of heavy dining chairs.
  • 8mm Stability: The 8mm HDF core offers incredible structural integrity while remaining slim enough to be a perfect choice for renovation projects where door clearance is a priority.
  • Underfloor Heating Compatible: Fully suitable for use with both water and electric underfloor heating systems, ensuring your ivory-toned rooms feel as warm as they look.

Ask a Question

1. Does the "Ivory Oak" colour show dirt more easily than darker oak floors? Actually, it’s the opposite. While very dark floors tend to highlight every speck of white dust and pet hair, the multi-tonal ivory and light beige grain of Ivory Oak is excellent at camouflaging light debris. Its non-porous surface also means that even "darker" spills like coffee or wine can be wiped away easily without staining the light finish.

2. Can I install Supreme Hydro Ivory Oak in a bathroom? Yes. Thanks to the HydroShield technology, this floor is designed for high-moisture areas. While we don't recommend it for a "wet room" or shower base, it is perfectly suited for bathroom floors where humidity and occasional splashes are common, providing a 24-hour window to clean up standing water.

3. What is the benefit of an 8mm board for an Irish renovation? In many Irish homes, installing a 12mm board plus underlay can lead to issues with door heights and skirting boards. The 8mm profile of Supreme Hydro provides the same AC4 commercial durability as thicker boards but with a lower profile. This often allows for installation without the need to trim expensive internal doors, saving you both time and labor costs.

Recommended Underlay

The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Balterio laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
