1. Does the "Dove Grey" tone make a room feel cold? Not at all. While Dove Grey is a cool-toned floor, its intricate wood grain patterns provide organic warmth. When paired with soft textures like wool rugs, wood furniture, or warm "Greige" wall colours, it creates a sophisticated, balanced atmosphere that feels cozy yet incredibly spacious.
2. Can I install Supreme Hydro Dove Grey in a main bathroom? Yes. Unlike standard laminates that can swell in humid environments, the HydroShield technology on Dove Grey is designed to resist water penetration for up to 24 hours. While we don't recommend it for a walk-in shower base, it is the perfect, durable alternative to tile for bathroom floors.
3. Is the "True-to-Nature" texture difficult to clean? Surprisingly, it's actually easier to maintain than a flat, high-gloss floor. The textured surface hides micro-scratches and light dust much better than a smooth finish. Because the surface is non-porous, a simple damp microfibre mop is all you need to keep the cool grey tones looking pristine.
Recommended Underlay
The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Balterio laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
