Product Description

Timeless Radiance: Supreme 4V Golden Oak by Balterio

Transform your living space into a sanctuary of warmth and light with the Supreme 4V Golden Oak from Balterio. This floor is a celebration of classic European design, featuring a rich, honeyed golden palette that captures the timeless appeal of natural oak. At Floorstore Direct, we have earned our reputation as the best place in Ireland to buy laminate flooringby offering premium collections that combine the soulful character of real wood with the high-tech resilience required for modern Irish life.

The Golden Oak belongs to the celebrated Supreme 4V range, known for its precision craftsmanship. Unlike generic, flat-surfaced floors, this Balterio flooring features a 4-sided V-groove. These subtle beveled edges define each individual plank upon installation, providing the structural depth and authentic “floorboard” look that was once only possible with expensive solid timber.

Built for the Busy Home: 8mm AC4 Durability

While its sun-drenched appearance suggests a delicate finish, the engineering behind Supreme 4V Golden Oak is anything but. Designed to be a “fit and forget” solution, it is built to withstand the daily rigors of a bustling household.

  • AC4 Abrasion Rating: This commercial-grade durability rating ensures your floor is protected against the scratches of pet claws, the friction of heavy furniture, and high-traffic footfall in hallways and living rooms.

  • 8mm Thickness: The 8mm HDF core provides excellent dimensional stability while remaining slim enough to be an ideal choice for renovation projects, often fitting under existing doors without the need for extensive trimming.

  • True-to-Nature Texture: Balterio’s unique grain technology means you aren’t just looking at a pattern—you can feel the organic ridges and knots under your feet, providing a tactile experience that mimics genuine oiled oak.

Ask a Question

1. How does the "Golden Oak" tone affect the perception of room size? Golden Oak is a fantastic choice for mid-sized or darker rooms. The warm, reflective yellow and honey undertones act as a "light booster," bouncing natural light back up into the room. This makes the space feel airier and more inviting compared to darker wood tones that can sometimes "shrink" a room visually.

2. Is the 4-sided V-groove (4V) difficult to maintain in a kitchen? Not at all. While the 4V groove adds a beautiful architectural definition to each board, the edges are treated with the same protective wear layer as the surface. A simple vacuum with a soft brush attachment followed by a damp microfibre mop is all that is needed to keep the grooves free of dust and looking sharp.

3. Why choose an 8mm AC4 floor over a thicker 12mm alternative? The 8mm AC4 board is the "sweet spot" for many Irish renovations. It offers high-level commercial durability (AC4) but with a lower profile. This is particularly helpful when you are laying floor over an existing subfloor and want to avoid large "steps" between rooms or the need to cut down expensive internal doors.

Recommended Underlay

The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Balterio laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
