Product Description
Warm, inviting, and beautifully natural, Strata Fourteen Harvest Oak is a stunning engineered hardwood floor that combines timeless oak character with contemporary performance. Available from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading destination for engineered floors and hardwood flooring, this 14mm oak floor offers exceptional quality, strength, and elegance. With its stained, brushed, and matt lacquered finish, Harvest Oak brings the charm of real wood to any space — from cosy homes to sophisticated commercial interiors.
Each plank of Strata Fourteen Harvest Oak is expertly crafted from premium European oak, chosen for its durability and unique natural grain. The stained finish enhances the oak’s tone, enriching it with warm, golden-brown hues that create a sense of comfort and luxury. The result is a floor that looks equally at home in both modern and traditional settings, complementing a wide range of interior styles and colour schemes.
The brushed surface brings depth and texture to the wood, revealing its natural patterns and giving it a wonderfully tactile feel underfoot. This process removes the softer fibres of the wood, leaving the harder grain raised slightly to catch the light and highlight the oak’s unique character. The texture not only adds visual appeal but also makes the floor more resistant to the marks of daily life, making it a practical choice for busy households.
The matt lacquer finish completes the look, providing a soft, natural sheen that enhances the oak’s appearance while protecting it from wear, scratches, and spills. Unlike glossy coatings, matt lacquer maintains a more organic, understated look that feels authentic and timeless. It’s easy to clean and maintain, ensuring your floor looks beautiful for years to come.
With a rustic grading, Strata Fourteen Harvest Oak embraces the authentic features that make real wood so special. Each plank showcases natural knots, tonal variation, and subtle areas of sapwood, ensuring your floor is full of personality and unique detail. This rustic appeal brings warmth and depth to your home, creating an atmosphere that’s both comfortable and refined.
At 14mm thick, this engineered oak floor combines the natural beauty of solid wood with the structural advantages of engineered construction. The multi-layered design ensures outstanding stability, preventing warping or movement due to changes in temperature or humidity — ideal for Ireland’s climate. It’s also compatible with underfloor heating, offering luxury, warmth, and efficiency all in one.
Installation is flexible — Strata Fourteen Harvest Oak can be glued directly to the subfloor for a solid, secure feel, or floated using its tongue & groove system for faster, easier fitting. Both options deliver a stunning, long-lasting result.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive
Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Strata range is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
