Product Description
Natural, warm, and beautifully refined, Sierra Lacquered Oak 150mm brings timeless elegance and exceptional quality to your home. Available from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s trusted name in engineered floors, herringbone floors, and hardwood flooring, this stunning 14mm engineered oak floor perfectly balances the natural beauty of real wood with the durability and practicality of modern design. Its matt lacquer finish highlights the grain’s rich texture while offering superior protection, making it ideal for both residential and commercial spaces.
Each plank of Sierra Lacquered Oak 150mm is crafted from premium European oak, carefully selected for its strength, depth of character, and timeless appeal. The matt lacquer finish enhances the oak’s natural tones, allowing its beautiful grain patterns to shine through with a soft, understated glow. Unlike glossy finishes, matt lacquer offers a more natural look that feels warm and organic underfoot. It also provides an excellent protective layer that resists scratches, stains, and wear from daily use — perfect for busy family homes and high-traffic areas.
The 150mm-wide boards make a bold design statement, offering the perfect balance between traditional charm and contemporary style. The narrower width creates a sense of rhythm and flow, adding visual depth to any space. Whether used in a modern apartment, a classic townhouse, or a rustic countryside home, Sierra Lacquered Oak 150mmcomplements every interior with its timeless versatility.
The rustic grading of this engineered oak floor celebrates the true character of natural wood. Each plank tells its own story through visible knots, gentle colour variation, and areas of sapwood, all of which highlight the organic charm and authenticity of real oak. This natural variation ensures that no two floors are ever exactly alike, giving your space a unique, bespoke look that adds warmth and personality.
Built with a 14mm multi-layered engineered construction, Sierra Lacquered Oak combines the elegance of solid wood with the structural stability of engineered design. The layers are precision-bonded to prevent movement or warping due to changes in temperature or humidity, making it ideal for Ireland’s climate. It is also fully compatible with underfloor heating, offering both beauty and comfort in one.
For installation, Sierra Lacquered Oak 150mm offers flexibility. It can be glued directly to the subfloor for a solid, stable feel, or floated using its tongue & groove system for a faster and more convenient fitting process. Both methods deliver a flawless finish that will last for decades.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive
Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Sierra range is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
