Its AC4 rating is backed up by a staggering 25 year domestic warranty and 5 year commercial warranty so you know your floor will stand the test of time. Because of its uniclic fitting system, it is relatively easy to lay for any D.I.Y. enthusiast. Elka Barn Oak is a natural oak colour so it will suit any room. Product Description
If you love the lived-in warmth of reclaimed timber but want the practicality of modern flooring, Elka Barn Oak is the answer. This 12mm water resistant laminate floor captures the weathered charm of old barn boards in a durable, easy-care format that’s ideal for real Irish homes. Available now from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading specialist for laminate flooring, it delivers style, strength, and long-term value in equal measure.
The colour blend is classic country oak with mid-brown body tones, softly brushed highlights, and rustic character marks that echo timeworn wood. Those tonal shifts help disguise day-to-day dust and pet traffic while adding natural movement across open-plan spaces. A four-sided micro-bevel frames each plank, giving you the clean, finished look normally associated with professionally installed hardwood.
Built to perform, Elka Barn Oak laminate flooring comes in a substantial 12mm board thickness, giving a more solid, quieter feel underfoot compared with thinner laminates. Rated AC4, it’s tough enough for heavy domestic use and suitable for moderate commercial areas when installed to specification — ideal for hallways, family living rooms, rental properties, small offices, and holiday lets. Its water resistant construction buys you precious time to wipe up spills in kitchens, utility rooms, or play areas, making it a practical upgrade for busy households.
Installation is fast and tidy thanks to Elka’s precision click system. Boards lock together securely, producing tight joints that keep the floor looking sharp. Fitters appreciate the speed; confident DIYers can manage it grand once the subfloor is level, clean, and dry. Pair it with quality acoustic or thermal underlay (all available from FloorStore Direct) and, where required, expansion profiles and matching trims to finish the job properly. The floor is suitable for use over most underfloor heating systems when the manufacturer’s fitting and moisture guidelines are followed.
