Sand & Oil

Give your timber flooring a new lease of life with expert floor sanding & oiling services from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s number one destination for solid wood floor restoration. Whether your oak floor has lost its lustre or your entire home needs a timber refresh, our sanding and oiling service brings out the natural warmth and beauty of your wood floors while enhancing durability and longevity.

We specialise in dust-free floor sanding using the most advanced machinery on the market. Our highly skilled technicians carefully remove old finishes, surface imperfections, and signs of wear, preparing the floor to absorb natural wood oils. The sanding process enhances the grain and restores the raw beauty of the wood without damaging its integrity.

Once sanded, we apply premium-quality natural or hardwax oils such as Rubio Monocoat, known for their eco-friendliness, VOC-free properties, and one-coat durability. These oils soak into the grain, providing deep protection while allowing the floor to breathe naturally—ideal for maintaining the healthy atmosphere in your home.

Unlike lacquered finishes, oiled wood floors age gracefully and can be spot repaired without needing a full resand. Our oiling process enriches the tone of your solid wood flooring, enhances grain detail, and offers a rich, natural matt finish that suits modern and traditional interiors alike.

From oak and walnut to beech and ash, we’ve restored all types of real wood floors across homes, businesses, and listed buildings in Galway, Tullamore, Dublin, and nationwide. With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, our team ensures every floor is treated with care, precision, and craftsmanship.

We offer tailored consultations to help you choose the right oil finish, colour tone, and sheen level to suit your interior style. Whether you want to maintain the pale tone of Scandinavian woods or enrich the golden hues of an old oak floor, FloorStore Direct has the perfect oil solution for you.
