Product Description
Sophisticated, natural, and undeniably elegant, Renaissance XL Oak Perugino is a statement in contemporary luxury. Available from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading destination for engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this premium 20mm oak floor captures the perfect balance between craftsmanship and modern design. With a sanded, grey stained, and UV oiled finish, Oak Perugino offers timeless beauty and unrivalled quality, transforming interiors into refined, welcoming spaces filled with character and charm.
Every detail of Renaissance XL Oak Perugino tells a story of meticulous craftsmanship. The sanded finish enhances the natural texture of European oak, creating a smooth yet tactile surface that highlights the intricate grain pattern unique to every plank. The grey stain adds depth and modern elegance, softening the natural oak tones with a contemporary twist. This finish complements both classic and minimalist interiors, offering a neutral palette that pairs effortlessly with modern décor or traditional furnishings. The subtle hue variation creates a calming visual flow, while the UV oiled surfaceenhances durability and adds a gentle sheen that feels beautifully natural underfoot.
The UV oiled finish provides long-lasting protection and easy maintenance, allowing the floor to retain its authentic look while resisting daily wear and moisture. The oil penetrates deep into the oak fibres, strengthening them from within and protecting the surface from scratches and stains. This finish allows the wood to breathe naturally, ensuring longevity while maintaining the warmth and tactile appeal that only real wood can provide.
One of the defining features of Renaissance XL Oak Perugino is its extra wide board design, with plank widths ranging from 280mm to 480mm. These grand boards create a seamless and spacious aesthetic, reducing visual joints and allowing the grain pattern to flow effortlessly across your floor. Perfect for open-plan homes, modern apartments, and architectural interiors, this wide-format flooring adds a sense of scale, serenity, and sophistication to any space.
The rustic/character grading of Oak Perugino celebrates the natural individuality of oak, featuring visible knots, subtle colour variations, and areas of sapwood that bring depth and authenticity. Each board tells its own story, combining organic beauty with timeless design. The result is a floor that feels truly unique — one that matures gracefully with time, gaining even more charm as it ages.
Built for strength and stability, this 20mm multi-layered engineered floor combines the beauty of solid wood with the advanced technology of engineered construction. Unlike traditional hardwood, engineered flooring is designed to handle changes in humidity and temperature, making it ideal for Ireland’s variable climate and compatible with underfloor heating systems.
For best results, Renaissance XL Oak Perugino must be glued directly to the subfloor. This method provides superior stability, reduces sound, and delivers a premium, solid feel underfoot — the hallmark of quality flooring.

Recommend Adhesive
Because of the excessive length and width of our Renaissance XL Boards we advise them to be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Renaissance Engineered Flooring is slightly different than most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. However, while we still advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor, we also recommend occasional use with a maintenance oil and our Magic Oil Care. This will help replenish the oils that may be lost through cleaning. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
