Product Description
Elegant, and full of natural character, Renaissance XL Oak Massacio is a premium engineered floor that captures the timeless beauty of real oak with a modern, minimalist twist. Available from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading supplier of engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this luxurious 20mm floor features a sanded and extra white UV oiled finish. With extra wide boards ranging from 280mm to 480mm, Oak Massacio brings space, light, and a sense of refined craftsmanship to any home or commercial interior.
Every plank of Renaissance XL Oak Massacio reflects the skill and artistry of European woodcraft. The sanded finishcreates a perfectly smooth surface that enhances the natural texture of the oak, allowing the wood grain to shine through with subtle elegance. The extra white UV oil is applied with precision to gently lighten the oak’s tone, giving it a fresh, contemporary look that complements both modern and classic design styles. The result is a beautifully balanced floor — warm yet airy, natural yet sophisticated.
The UV oiled finish not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also provides exceptional durability and ease of maintenance. By deeply penetrating the surface of the wood, the oil strengthens the fibres from within, protecting against daily wear, moisture, and stains while maintaining the tactile authenticity of natural oak. The UV curing process adds an extra layer of resilience, ensuring the floor retains its elegant appearance for years to come. The finish has a soft, satin sheen that adds subtle sophistication without taking away from the oak’s organic beauty.
What makes Renaissance XL Oak Massacio truly stand out is its extra wide plank design, with widths between 280mm and 480mm. These expansive boards create a seamless, open feel in any space, reducing visual seams and showcasing the flowing grain of the wood. Perfect for large open-plan homes, contemporary showrooms, or boutique interiors, these boards add a sense of grandeur and continuity that makes every room feel more spacious and luxurious.
The rustic/character grading of Oak Massacio celebrates the natural individuality of oak, showcasing visible knots, colour variation, and areas of sapwood. Each board tells its own story, combining authenticity with elegance to create a floor that feels both organic and timeless. No two planks are identical, ensuring your floor is as unique as the space it transforms.
Constructed as a 20mm multi-layered engineered floor, Renaissance XL Oak Massacio combines traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation. Unlike solid wood, engineered flooring resists expansion and contraction caused by Ireland’s climate, offering exceptional stability and compatibility with underfloor heating.
For the best performance, Renaissance XL Oak Massacio must be glued directly to the subfloor. This installation method enhances sound insulation, prevents movement, and provides the solid, premium feel associated with high-quality hardwood floors.

Recommend Adhesive
Because of the excessive length and width of our Renaissance XL Boards we advise them to be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Renaissance Engineered Flooring is slightly different than most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. However, while we still advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor, we also recommend occasional use with a maintenance oil and our Magic Oil Care. This will help replenish the oils that may be lost through cleaning. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
