Product Description
Distinctive, luxurious, and rich in natural texture, Renaissance XL Oak Giorgione is a masterpiece in modern wood design. Available exclusively from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s trusted name for engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this exceptional 20mm oak floor blends rustic authenticity with contemporary elegance. With its uneven original surface and extra white UV oiled finish, Oak Giorgione celebrates the character of real oak while adding a bright, modern touch that transforms any interior into a space of timeless beauty.
Each plank of Renaissance XL Oak Giorgione is a testament to expert craftsmanship. The uneven original surfaceretains the natural undulations and organic texture of genuine oak, echoing the hand-worked finishes of traditional wood flooring. This artisanal approach ensures that no two boards are identical — each one tells its own story through its gentle waves, tactile feel, and intricate grain detail. The floor is then finished with an extra white UV oil, creating a luminous, airy tone that enhances the natural grain while softening the overall appearance. The result is a floor that perfectly balances rustic charm with modern refinement, ideal for bright contemporary spaces or elegant, nature-inspired interiors.
The UV oiled finish offers the perfect combination of beauty and practicality. The oil penetrates deep into the oak’s surface, strengthening and protecting the fibres while preserving the tactile warmth of natural wood. The UV curing process enhances durability, providing superior resistance against everyday wear, moisture, and stains. Unlike lacquered finishes, UV oil maintains the wood’s breathable surface, allowing it to age gracefully while developing a richer, more distinctive patina over time.
What truly sets Renaissance XL Oak Giorgione apart is its extra wide plank design, with boards ranging from 280mm to 480mm. These wider boards showcase the oak’s beautiful grain and organic texture, creating an open, seamless aesthetic that makes rooms feel larger and more harmonious. Perfect for expansive open-plan homes, luxury renovations, or boutique commercial spaces, this flooring exudes understated grandeur and sophistication.
The rustic/character grading celebrates the individuality of natural oak. Expect visible knots, colour variations, and traces of sapwood, all of which highlight the authenticity and warmth of the timber. This grading gives each floor a unique identity, ensuring that your space feels personal, inviting, and full of natural charm.
Constructed as a 20mm multi-layered engineered floor, Renaissance XL Oak Giorgione combines the timeless appeal of solid wood with the advanced stability of engineered construction. Unlike traditional hardwood, engineered flooring is built to resist warping or movement caused by humidity, making it ideal for Ireland’s climate and compatible with underfloor heating systems.
For best results, this floor must be glued directly to the subfloor, ensuring superior stability, reduced sound transmission, and a solid, high-end feel underfoot.

Recommend Adhesive
Because of the excessive length and width of our Renaissance XL Boards we advise them to be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Renaissance Engineered Flooring is slightly different than most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. However, while we still advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor, we also recommend occasional use with a maintenance oil and our Magic Oil Care. This will help replenish the oils that may be lost through cleaning. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
