Product Description
Elegant, timeless, and truly impressive, Renaissance XL Oak Duccio represents the pinnacle of luxury in engineered hardwood flooring. Available from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s most trusted destination for engineered floors and hardwood flooring, this exceptional 20mm oak floor combines modern refinement with the authentic beauty of natural timber. With its sanded and extra white UV oiled finish and extra wide planks ranging from 280mm to 480mm, Oak Duccio brings a sense of openness, light, and understated sophistication to any interior.
Each plank of Renaissance XL Oak Duccio showcases the exceptional quality of European oak, carefully selected for its natural grain and character. The sanded surface enhances the tactile appeal of the wood, creating a beautifully smooth texture that feels warm and organic underfoot. This preparation reveals every detail of the oak’s grain, giving depth and definition to the wood’s natural structure. The extra white UV oil gently lightens the oak, infusing it with a modern, airy elegance while preserving the depth and warmth of real hardwood. The result is a soft, luminous finish that complements both minimalist interiors and classic design schemes.
The UV oiled finish not only enhances the natural beauty of the wood but also provides long-lasting protection. The oil penetrates deep into the oak’s surface, fortifying the fibres while allowing the wood to breathe naturally. This ensures durability against everyday wear, stains, and moisture while maintaining the authentic feel of natural timber. The UV curing process gives the surface added resilience and a subtle, refined sheen that feels both luxurious and low-maintenance — a hallmark of high-quality engineered flooring.
The extra wide board design, with planks ranging from 280mm to 480mm, adds a sense of grandeur and calm to any space. These broad boards showcase the natural flow of the grain, reducing visual seams and creating a spacious, seamless look. Perfect for large open-plan areas, boutique commercial settings, or contemporary homes, Renaissance XL Oak Duccio exudes quiet sophistication and modern architectural beauty.
The rustic/character grading of this floor embraces the authenticity of natural oak. Expect visible knots, colour variation, and natural sapwood, which give every plank its own distinct personality. This organic variation ensures that no two floors are ever identical, adding charm and individuality to every installation.
Built for strength and stability, this 20mm multi-layered engineered oak floor is designed to last. Unlike solid hardwood, engineered flooring is constructed to handle changes in temperature and humidity, making it ideal for Ireland’s climate and suitable for use with underfloor heating.
For optimal installation, Renaissance XL Oak Duccio must be glued directly to the subfloor. This method provides maximum stability, reduces sound, and enhances the solid, premium feel underfoot.

Recommend Adhesive
Because of the excessive length and width of our Renaissance XL Boards we advise them to be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Renaissance Engineered Flooring is slightly different than most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. However, while we still advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor, we also recommend occasional use with a maintenance oil and our Magic Oil Care. This will help replenish the oils that may be lost through cleaning. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
