Product Description

Timeless, elegant, and crafted to perfection, Renaissance Herringbone Oak Angelico is a masterpiece in engineered herringbone flooring. Available from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading supplier of engineered flooring, herringbone floors, and hardwood floors, this 19mm oak herringbone exudes understated luxury and sophistication. Featuring a smoked and white UV oiled finish, Oak Angelico combines the warmth of natural wood with the clean, contemporary appeal of light tones, creating a floor that feels both classic and modern.

Each plank of Renaissance Herringbone Oak Angelico is designed with artistry and precision, highlighting the natural beauty of European oak. The smoked finish enhances the depth of the timber, adding gentle richness to the grain and revealing subtle undertones of caramel and ash. Over this, a delicate white UV oil is applied to soften the overall tone, giving the wood a fresh, luminous appearance that instantly brightens interiors. This sophisticated combination results in a floor that balances warmth with elegance — perfect for bright, modern spaces or timeless heritage homes.

The UV oiled finish ensures long-lasting performance and a natural look. It penetrates deep into the wood, strengthening and protecting it from daily wear while preserving its authentic texture. Unlike heavy lacquers, UV oil keeps the wood breathable, allowing it to age gracefully and maintain its luxurious feel underfoot. The surface has a smooth, satin-like sheen that enhances the wood’s character while providing practical durability for everyday living.

The Prime grading of Renaissance Herringbone Oak Angelico gives it a refined, consistent appearance that highlights the purity of the oak. Each board is carefully selected to feature little to no knots, minimal colour variation, and virtually no sapwood, resulting in a seamless, elegant aesthetic. This makes Angelico the ideal choice for designers and homeowners seeking a clean, minimalist look without sacrificing the warmth and depth of real hardwood. The traditional herringbone pattern adds structure and sophistication, giving any room a touch of architectural luxury that never goes out of style.

Built with modern performance in mind, this 19mm multi-layered engineered herringbone floor offers superior stability and strength. Unlike solid hardwood, engineered flooring is designed to withstand changes in temperature and humidity, making it perfectly suited to Ireland’s climate. Its durable construction ensures long-lasting beauty, while the precise design of each block guarantees a flawless finish.

For best installation results, Renaissance Herringbone Oak Angelico must be glued directly to the subfloor. This method ensures maximum stability and a luxurious, solid feel underfoot.

Recommend Adhesive

Our Engineered Herringbone must be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Renaissance Engineered Flooring is slightly different than most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. However, while we still advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor, we also recommend occasional use with a maintenance oil and our Magic Oil Care. This will help replenish the oils that may be lost through cleaning. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
