Revitalise Your Home: The Ultimate Polyflor Floor Care Guide
Investing in high-quality LVT floors or SPC floors is one of the best decisions you can make for your home, but the secret to a floor that looks brand new for decades lies in the aftercare. Whether you have installed a sleek wood-effect plank or a modern stone-tile finish, standard supermarket cleaners can often leave a dulling residue or, worse, damage the protective wear layer. At Floorstore Direct, we recommend the professional touch: the Polyflor Floor Care Kit.
Specifically engineered for the unique chemical composition of Polyflor surfaces, this comprehensive maintenance set is the “gold standard” for floor preservation in Ireland. It isn’t just a bottle of soap; it is a complete system designed to protect your investment from the daily grit, spills, and scuffs of a busy Irish household.
What’s Inside the Box? Professional Grade Floor Cleaning Products
The Polyflor Floor Care Kit is a three-stage system that covers every aspect of regular and periodical maintenance:
- Daily Cleanse (Regular Cleaner): Formulated to lift dirt and neutralise bacteria without leaving streaks. It maintains the natural matte or satin finish of your Polyflor floor without the waxy build-up associated with generic brands.
- The Reset (Stripper): Over years of heavy footfall, even the best-kept floors can accumulate deep-seated grime. The stripper is a heavy-duty solution that safely “resets” the surface, removing old polish and stubborn marks without harming the vinyl.
- The Refresh (Maintainer): Periodically, your floor needs more than just a wash. The maintainer works to bridge microscopic scratches in the wear layer, restoring the vibrant colour and “out-of-the-box” glow of your Lvt & SPC floors.

Ask a Question
1. Can I use the Polyflor Care Kit on other brands of LVT or SPC floors? While specifically formulated for Polyflor, this kit is perfectly safe and highly effective on almost all high-quality LVT floors and SPC floors, including brands like Karndean or Amtico. Because it is pH-neutral and free from harsh abrasives, it won't damage the polyurethane (PU) coating found on most premium vinyl floors.
2. How often should I use the 'Stripper' solution? For a standard residential home, the stripper is typically only needed once every 12 to 18 months. It is designed for "deep spring cleans" to remove stubborn build-up. For your weekly routine, the Regular Cleaner is all you need to keep the surface hygienic and bright.
3. Does this kit help with minor scratches caused by furniture or pets? Yes! The 'Maintainer' solution included in the kit contains specialized agents that help to fill and disguise micro-scratches in the wear layer. While it won't fix deep gouges, regular use significantly improves the scratch resistance of the floor and keeps the surface looking uniform.
