Product Description
Bright, contemporary, and effortlessly elegant, Lofoten White Sand Oak by Pergo is a stunning engineered wood floorthat combines Scandinavian design with long-lasting performance. Available exclusively from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s trusted destination for engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this 13mm water-resistant floor features a white stained, brushed, and extra matt lacquered finish. It’s the perfect choice for homeowners who want to achieve a light, airy interior without compromising on durability or quality.
Every plank of Lofoten White Sand Oak captures the natural beauty of real oak while adding a modern twist through its soft white stain. This finish brightens the wood, enhancing the grain with a delicate chalked effect that reflects light beautifully — perfect for creating a sense of space and calm. The brushed texture brings out the natural detail of the oak, adding tactile depth, while the extra matt lacquer seals the surface with a subtle sheen that looks completely natural. This advanced finish not only preserves the authentic look of untreated wood but also provides exceptional protection against daily wear, scratches, and moisture.
The lively grading of this floor celebrates the natural personality of hardwood. You’ll find bold knots, small cracks, and touches of sapwood, all of which give the floor warmth and character. These variations ensure that no two planks are ever the same, creating a unique and organic aesthetic that suits both rustic and modern interiors. Whether you’re designing a minimalist coastal home, a contemporary apartment, or a cosy family living space, Lofoten White Sand Oak adds charm, texture, and a timeless sense of quality.
Beneath its stunning surface lies Pergo’s signature engineering excellence. This 13mm multi-layered engineered floor is built to deliver exceptional stability, strength, and moisture resistance. Unlike traditional solid wood flooring, engineered flooring is designed to withstand fluctuations in temperature and humidity — perfect for Ireland’s climate. Its water-resistant surface makes it an excellent option for kitchens, hallways, and busy family areas where spills and moisture can be a concern.
Installation is quick, clean, and hassle-free with Pergo’s PerfectFold™ click system, allowing you to float the floor for easy fitting or glue it directly to the subfloor for a more solid, long-lasting installation. Recommend Underlay/Adhesive
Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Pergo range is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
