Available from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s most trusted destination for engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this luxurious 13mm floor features a rich stained, brushed, and extra matt lacquered finish, offering both timeless style and everyday practicality. Designed with Pergo’s PerfectFold™ click system and water-resistant technology, it’s the ideal choice for Irish homes seeking elegance, durability, and ease of installation.
Each plank of Lofoten Brown Cabin Oak showcases the natural grace of oak, enhanced by a rich brown stain that deepens its tone and highlights the fine detail of the grain. The brushed finish adds texture and depth, giving the wood a tactile feel and bringing out its authentic character. The extra matt lacquer then seals the surface with a smooth, natural finish that mimics the look of untreated wood while offering advanced protection against scratches, stains, and moisture. The result is a floor that feels luxurious underfoot yet stands up beautifully to the demands of modern living.
The select grading of this floor ensures a sleek and sophisticated look with minimal knots, gentle colour variation, and limited sapwood. This clean, consistent aesthetic gives Lofoten Brown Cabin Oak a contemporary edge, making it perfect for elegant interiors where calm, seamless design is key. Whether you’re styling a bright open-plan living space, a modern kitchen, or a chic boutique hotel, this floor brings balance, warmth, and refinement to any setting.
What truly sets Lofoten Brown Cabin Oak apart is its intelligent engineering. At 13mm thick, this engineered floordelivers the perfect blend of strength, comfort, and versatility. The multi-layered core structure ensures excellent stability, preventing warping or movement caused by Ireland’s changing climate. Its water-resistant technology makes it suitable for moisture-prone areas such as kitchens, hallways, and even certain commercial spaces — offering peace of mind without compromising on design.
Installation couldn’t be easier thanks to Pergo’s PerfectFold™ click system. Recommend Underlay/Adhesive
Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Pergo range is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
