Product Description

Bright, contemporary, and effortlessly stylish, Lofoten Arctic Oak by Pergo is a stunning example of modern engineered wood flooring that blends Scandinavian minimalism with everyday practicality. Available exclusively from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s most trusted destination for engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this 13mm water-resistant floor features a beautiful white stained, brushed, and matt lacquered finish. Perfect for creating calm, light-filled interiors, Lofoten Arctic Oak brings a timeless elegance to homes and spaces across Ireland.

Each plank of Lofoten Arctic Oak is a showcase of craftsmanship and design. The white stain enhances the natural oak grain while softening the tone to a cool, airy hue reminiscent of Nordic landscapes. The brushed texture adds tactile depth, highlighting the wood’s organic patterns and giving it a natural, handcrafted appearance. Finished with a matt lacquer, this floor offers a subtle sheen that protects against daily wear while maintaining the authentic look of untreated oak. The combination of these finishes results in a floor that feels natural, bright, and beautifully understated — ideal for modern interiors seeking warmth and simplicity.

The accent grading of Lofoten Arctic Oak ensures the perfect balance between clean elegance and natural character. You’ll find medium-sized knots, gentle colour variation, and touches of sapwood throughout — enough to add personality and texture, but subtle enough to maintain a refined, consistent look. This balance makes the floor versatile and suitable for a wide range of spaces, from contemporary apartments and seaside homes to bright, open-plan kitchens and living rooms. The soft, neutral tones of Arctic Oak pair beautifully with modern décor, muted palettes, or bold statement pieces, offering limitless design possibilities.

Beneath its stunning surface, this 13mm engineered floor is built for performance and durability. Its multi-layered construction ensures superior stability, preventing warping or expansion even with Ireland’s variable climate. The water-resistant surface provides extra protection against moisture, making it a reliable option for busy family areas such as kitchens, hallways, and living spaces. Unlike solid wood, engineered flooring combines natural beauty with exceptional practicality — giving you the look of real hardwood without the worry.

Installation is quick and efficient thanks to Pergo’s PerfectFold™ click system. This innovative design allows the floor to be floated for flexible installation or glued directly to the subfloor for a more permanent fit. The system ensures precision alignment, a seamless finish, and professional results — making it as practical for DIY projects as it is for professional installations.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive

Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Pergo range is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
