Product Description

Bring timeless natural beauty and Scandinavian craftsmanship into your home with Kahrs Grano Natural Oiled, a stunning engineered wood floor that perfectly combines elegance, performance, and the authentic character of real oak. Available exclusively from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s most trusted destination for engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this 14mm oak floor offers a rich, natural finish and exceptional durability — ideal for Irish homes that value quality and style.

Each plank of Kahrs Grano Natural Oiled showcases the raw, organic charm of genuine oak, enhanced by a beautiful natural oil finish. The oil penetrates deeply into the wood, highlighting its natural grain, texture, and warm golden tones while offering strong protection against daily wear. Unlike synthetic lacquers, the oil allows the timber to breathe, creating a soft, velvety surface that ages gracefully over time. The result is a floor that feels warm, tactile, and alive — perfect for creating inviting, elegant interiors that celebrate nature’s true beauty.

The rustic grading of Kährs Grano Natural Oiled embraces the natural characteristics that make hardwood flooring so distinctive. Each plank features visible knots, colour variation, and touches of sapwood, ensuring no two boards are ever the same. This variation adds depth and authenticity, giving your floor personality and charm. The natural warmth of oak pairs beautifully with both contemporary and traditional décor styles, making it an adaptable choice for open-plan living areas, cosy sitting rooms, and stylish commercial spaces alike.

Engineered for strength and long-term performance, this 14mm multi-layered engineered floor offers outstanding stability compared to solid wood. Unlike traditional hardwood, engineered flooring is designed to withstand changes in humidity and temperature — ideal for the Irish climate and underfloor heating systems. The layered construction prevents warping or movement, ensuring your floor remains smooth, stable, and beautiful for years to come.

Installation is straightforward and flexible. Kährs Grano Natural Oiled can be glued directly to the subfloor for a solid, permanent fit or floated over an underlay for a quicker installation with added comfort underfoot. Both methods provide a seamless, professional finish that enhances the natural grain and tone of the wood.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive

Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Kahrs Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
