Elegance Defined: Nature’s Finest Linen Oak
If you are looking to transform your home into a sanctuary of light and calm, the Nature’s Finest Linen Oak from Eggeris a transformative choice. This floor is designed for those who crave the “Quiet Luxury” aesthetic—a soft, creamy light oak palette that feels both expansive and incredibly cozy. At Floorstore Direct, we have earned our reputation as the best place in Ireland to buy laminate flooring by providing homeowners with elite German-engineered products that perfectly suit the Irish light and lifestyle.
Previously known to interior designers and homeowners as Cream Newport Oak, this stunning decor has been reimagined under the Nature’s Finest banner. It retains the same sophisticated, buttery tones and delicate grain patterns that made it a bestseller, providing a flawless foundation for Scandi-chic, coastal, or modern farmhouse interiors. As a premium entry in the Egger flooring range, Linen Oak features a “Natural Pore” surface texture, ensuring the floor offers the tactile, organic feel of genuine timber.
The 12mm Powerhouse: AC4 Water-Resistant Excellence
In the world of high-end renovations, the thickness of your floor determines the “feel” of the entire house. Linen Oak isn’t just a surface; it’s a substantial 12mm foundation built for the beautiful chaos of real life.
-
12mm Architectural Profile: The substantial thickness provides a rock-solid feel underfoot and superior acoustic performance. It eliminates the hollow “click” often associated with thinner floors, giving your home the premium weight and “thud” of solid hardwood.
-
Water-Resistant Swell Protection: Built with Egger’s advanced HDF+ core, this floor is designed to handle the realities of an Irish home. From damp footprints in the hallway to kitchen splashes, the water-resistant surface ensures your investment remains stable for years.
-
AC4 Durability Rating: Certified for heavy residential use, this laminate is engineered to resist micro-scratches from pets, high heels, and the movement of furniture.

Ask a Question
1. Is "Linen Oak" the exact same colour as the old "Cream Newport Oak"? Yes! While Egger has transitioned the name to Linen Oak within the Nature’s Finest collection, the visual decor and soft, creamy oak tones remain identical. If you are extending a project or replacing a section of Cream Newport Oak, this is the exact match you need.
2. Does a cream-coloured floor show more dirt and stains? Actually, Linen Oak is surprisingly forgiving. Unlike high-gloss white floors or very dark walnuts, the multi-tonal cream grain of Linen Oak is excellent at camouflaging light dust and pet hair. Because the surface is non-porous and water-resistant, spills like red wine or coffee wipe away easily without leaving a trace.
3. Why choose 12mm Linen Oak over an 8mm alternative? The 12mm profile offers a significantly more "permanent" feel. It handles slight subfloor imperfections better than thinner boards and provides much better sound insulation between floors. If you want a floor that looks like a luxury light-oak plank but performs with industrial strength, the 12mm is the way to go.
Recommended Underlay
The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Egger laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
