Product Description

Elevate Your Interior with Nature’s Finest Dusk Oak

When it comes to modern home design, few things provide as sophisticated a foundation as a perfectly toned grey oak floor. The Nature’s Finest Dusk Oak from Egger is a masterclass in contemporary aesthetics, designed to bring a sense of calm, architectural depth to your living space. At Floorstore Direct, we have solidified our reputation as the best place in Ireland to buy laminate flooring by offering premium collections that bridge the gap between high-end European style and the rugged durability required for Irish life.

Previously known to homeowners and interior designers as Bardolino Oak Grey, this iconic decor has been updated under the Nature’s Finest banner. It retains the same beloved character—a sophisticated, muted grey base with subtle grain variations and a weathered, authentic texture that mimics natural timber. As a flagship product in the Egger flooring range, Dusk Oak acts as a versatile canvas, pairing beautifully with industrial metals, minimalist white furniture, or vibrant jewel-toned accents.

The Power of 12mm: AC4 Water-Resistant Excellence

In the world of flooring, thickness dictates the feel of a home. The Dusk Oak isn’t just a surface; it’s a substantial 12mm foundation engineered to handle the “beautiful chaos” of a busy household.

  • 12mm Architectural Profile: The substantial 12mm thickness provides a rock-solid feel underfoot and superior acoustic performance. It eliminates the hollow “click” often associated with thinner floors, giving your home the premium weight and “thud” of solid hardwood.

  • Water-Resistant Swell Protection: Built with Egger’s advanced HDF+ core technology, this floor is designed to handle everyday life. From damp footprints in the hallway to kitchen splashes, the water-resistant surface ensures your investment remains stable and gorgeous for years.

  • AC4 Durability Rating: Certified for heavy residential use, this laminate is engineered to resist micro-scratches from pets, high heels, and the movement of heavy furniture.

Ask a Question

1. Is "Dusk Oak" the exact same colour as the old "Bardolino Oak Grey"? Yes! While Egger has transitioned the name to Dusk Oak  within the Nature’s Finest collection, the decor and sophisticated grey tones remain identical. If you are trying to match an existing floor previously known as Bardolino Oak Grey, this is the exact match you need.

2. What are the main benefits of a 12mm board over a standard 8mm board? The extra 4mm provides significantly more stability and a much better "walking sound." A 12mm floor feels more solid underfoot and handles slight imperfections in the subfloor better than thinner alternatives. It also offers enhanced durability at the click-joint, making it a "lifetime" floor for many homes.

3. Does a grey oak floor make a room feel cold? Not necessarily. Dusk Oak features subtle, organic grain details and a "Deepskin" texture that introduces visual warmth. When paired with soft textures like wool rugs, warm lighting, and wood furniture, it creates a balanced, tranquil atmosphere that feels contemporary and cozy rather than clinical.

Recommended Underlay

The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Egger laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
