Product Description

Timeless Warmth: Nature’s Finest Caramel Oak

If you are searching for a floor that perfectly captures the golden, organic essence of real wood, the Nature’s Finest Caramel Oak from Egger is an unrivaled selection. This floor is designed for those who appreciate a classic, natural oak palette that radiates warmth and remains unswayed by passing trends. At Floorstore Direct, we have earned our reputation as the best place in Ireland to buy laminate flooring by providing homeowners with products that bridge the gap between historic charm and modern engineering.

Previously known to many as Natural North Oak, this decor has been reimagined under the Nature’s Finest banner. It retains the same beloved character—featuring a rich, honeyed-caramel hue with intricate grain details and subtle knots that add a rustic yet sophisticated touch. As a centerpiece of the Egger flooring collection, it offers a “Deepskin” surface structure, ensuring the floor feels as authentic and tactile as genuine brushed oak.

The 12mm Advantage: AC4 Water-Resistant Durability

In the world of flooring, thickness dictates the soul of a home. Caramel Oak is not just a surface; it is a substantial 12mm foundation engineered to handle the “beautiful chaos” of a busy Irish household.

  • 12mm Architectural Profile: The substantial thickness provides a rock-solid feel underfoot and superior acoustic performance. It eliminates the hollow “click” often associated with thinner floors, giving your home the premium weight and “thud” of solid hardwood.

  • Water-Resistant Swell Protection: Built with Egger’s advanced HDF+ core technology, this floor is designed to handle everyday life. From damp footprints in the hallway to kitchen splashes, the water-resistant surface ensures your investment remains stable for years.

  • AC4 Durability Rating: Certified for heavy residential use, this laminate is engineered to resist micro-scratches from pets, high heels, and the constant movement of furniture.

Ask a Question

1. Is "Caramel Oak" the exact same colour as the old "Natural North Oak"? Yes! While Egger has transitioned the name to Caramel Oak within the Nature’s Finest collection, the decor and warm, natural oak tones remain identical. If you are extending a project started with Natural North Oak, this is the exact match you need.

2. What are the main benefits of a 12mm board over a standard 8mm board? The extra 4mm provides significantly more stability and a much better "walking sound." A 12mm floor feels more solid underfoot and handles slight imperfections in the subfloor better than thinner alternatives. It also offers enhanced durability at the click-joint, making it a "lifetime" floor for many homes.

3. Does the "Caramel" tone work with both light and dark furniture? Absolutely. Caramel Oak is considered a "universal neutral" in the flooring world. Its balanced colour palette allows it to pair seamlessly with light Scandinavian furniture for a bright look, or with dark walnut and navy accents for a more traditional, prestigious feel.

Recommended Underlay

The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Egger laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
