Product Description

Brighten Your Living Space with Nature’s Choice Cream Oak

If you are looking to infuse your home with a sense of airy elegance and timeless charm, the Nature’s Choice Cream Oak from Egger is an impeccable choice. This floor is designed for those who appreciate the understated beauty of a light, natural palette. At Floorstore Direct, we have earned our reputation as the best place in Ireland to buy laminate flooring by curating collections that blend world-class German engineering with the style preferences of the modern Irish homeowner.

Previously known to many designers as Cream Loja Oak, this beloved decor has been reimagined under the Nature’s Choice banner. It retains the same soft, creamy tones and delicate grain patterns that made it a bestseller, providing a versatile foundation that complements everything from coastal Scandi-vibes to classic country aesthetics. As a centerpiece of the Egger flooring range, it features a “Natural Pore” surface structure, ensuring the floor feels as authentic and organic as it looks.

Built for Reality: 8mm AC4 Water-Resistant Protection

In a busy household, a light-coloured floor needs to be more than just pretty; it needs to be resilient. The Cream Oak is engineered with Egger’s advanced technology to ensure it stands up to the “daily grind” of family life.

  • Water-Resistant Swell Protection: Built with a high-density HDF+ core board, this floor offers dependable protection against everyday moisture. Whether it’s a spill in the kitchen or wet footprints in the hallway, the water-resistant surface ensures your investment remains stable.

  • AC4 Durability Rating: Certified for heavy residential use, this 8mm laminate is built to resist micro-scratches from pets, high heels, and the movement of furniture, keeping that fresh “new floor” look for years.

  • CLIC it! System: Featuring Egger’s innovative installation system, the Cream Oak offers a fast, glueless, and secure fit. The precision joints provide an additional barrier against moisture ingress, ensuring a seamless finish.

Ask a Question

1. Is "Cream Oak" the exact same colour as the old "Cream Loja Oak"? Yes. While Egger has transitioned the name to Cream Oak within the Nature’s Choice collection, the decor and light, rustic oak tones remain identical. If you are trying to match an existing installation of Cream Loja Oak, this is the exact product you need.

2. Does a light floor like Cream Oak show dirt more easily? Surprisingly, it is very practical. While very dark floors highlight light dust and white pet hair, the multi-tonal cream and beige grain of Cream Oak is excellent at camouflaging light debris. Its non-porous melamine surface also means that spills wipe away easily without staining.

3. Is this floor suitable for a kitchen or bathroom? Yes. Thanks to its water-resistant construction and AC4 rating, it is well-suited for kitchens and bathrooms. It offers a much warmer and more comfortable surface underfoot compared to cold tiles, provided that large spills are wiped up promptly to protect the core.

Recommended Underlay

The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Egger laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
