Product Description

Coastal Serenity: Nature Sense Sand Baronia Oak

If you are looking to bring the soft, sun-drenched aesthetic of the coast into your home, Sand Baronia Oak from the Egger Nature Sense range is an exceptional choice. This floor is designed for those who want to move away from cold, sterile tones and embrace a “homecoming” warmth. At Floorstore Direct, we have built our reputation as the best place in Ireland to buy laminate flooring by offering premium European designs that cater specifically to the Irish love for light and comfort.

Sand Baronia Oak features a beautifully homogeneous look with a high proportion of soft grey undertones playing against warm sandy hues. This unique balance means the floor never feels too yellow or too clinical; it simply glows. As a standout in the Egger flooring collection, it utilizes a “Natural Pore” surface texture—a synchronized embossing that matches the grain pattern perfectly, so the floor feels just as authentic as it looks.

Superior 10mm Stability: AC4 Performance You Can Trust

While many standard floors stop at 8mm, Sand Baronia Oak steps up with a substantial 10mm thickness. This extra depth isn’t just for show; it provides a significant upgrade to your home’s structural feel.

  • Enhanced Sound Insulation: The 10mm profile offers a much more solid “thud” underfoot, reducing the hollow echo often associated with thinner laminates. It’s the perfect choice for busy family living rooms or upstairs bedrooms where noise reduction is key.

  • AC4 Durability & Swell Protection: Built to handle the “beautiful chaos” of an Irish household, this floor carries a heavy-duty AC4 rating. Whether it’s active pets, high-traffic hallways, or the occasional spill in the kitchen, the Aqua CLIC it! system and moisture-resistant core board provide 24-hour protection against water penetration.

  • Sustainably Engineered: Like all Egger products, Sand Baronia Oak is 100% PVC-free and made from certified sustainable wood, ensuring a healthy indoor climate for your family.

Ask a Question

1. What makes the "Nature Sense" range different from standard laminate? The Nature Sense range focuses on "Synchronized Pores." Unlike standard floors where the texture is random, the embossing on Sand Baronia Oak follows the actual print of the wood grain. This means when you see a knot or a grain line, you can actually feel it in the same spot, providing a level of realism that is nearly indistinguishable from real oak.

2. Is a 10mm floor better for underfloor heating than an 8mm floor? Both are excellent, but a 10mm board provides a more stable thermal mass. While it may take a few minutes longer to reach temperature initially, it retains and radiates heat more consistently, providing a luxurious, even warmth that perfectly complements the "Sand" colour palette.

3. Can I install Sand Baronia Oak in my bathroom? Yes! Thanks to the Aqua CLIC it! system, this floor is designed for 24-hour water resistance. As long as the perimeter is properly sealed with a waterproof silicone during installation, it is a fantastic, warmer alternative to cold tiles in bathrooms, kitchens, and utility rooms.

Recommended Underlay

The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Egger laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
