Product Description

Sandy Beige Perfection: Elevate Your Home with Egger Sand Baronia Oak Herringbone

If you are looking to infuse your home with the understated luxury of a sun-drenched coastal retreat, Egger Sand Baronia Oak Herringbone is your perfect foundation. Part of the elite Egger Nature Sense range, this floor masterfully blends the timeless geometric appeal of traditional parquet with a modern sandy beige palette. Its soft, neutral tones and refined woodgrain create a bright, expansive feel, making it the ideal choice for Irish homeowners wanting to modernise their space while maintaining a warm, organic atmosphere.

At Floorstore Direct, we have solidified our reputation as the best place in Ireland to buy laminate flooring. Whether you visit our premier showrooms in Galway or Tullamore or shop our extensive online catalogue for fast nationwide delivery, we provide the expert guidance and premium products needed to transform your interior with confidence.

Why Sand Baronia Oak Herringbone is a Design Game-Changer

The Sand Baronia Oak 8mm laminate is much more than a stylish surface; it is a high-performance flooring solution designed for the “beautiful chaos” of real life. Boasting an AC4 durability rating, this floor is engineered for heavy residential use, easily resisting the scratches, scuffs, and impacts of a busy family home.

What truly sets this Egger flooring apart is the revolutionary UniZip system. Unlike traditional herringbone floors that require complex “A” and “B” planks, UniZip uses a universal board type. This innovation makes installation significantly faster and more straightforward for both DIY enthusiasts and professional fitters, all while reducing waste.

Key features of this 8mm herringbone flooring include:

  • Natural Pore Texture: A specialized surface structure that synchronizes the tactile feel with the visual grain, creating an incredibly realistic wood effect.
  • Brightness & Space: The sandy beige hues work perfectly with neutral palettes, making smaller rooms feel significantly larger and more inviting.
  • Underfloor Heating Compatible: Highly efficient when paired with water-based systems, ensuring your home remains cosy year-round.
  • Sustainable Living: 100% PVC-free and crafted from sustainably sourced wood, promoting a healthier indoor environment for your family.

Ask a Question

1. Is the UniZip system easy for a first-time DIYer? Absolutely! The UniZip system is a breakthrough in herringbone design because it eliminates the confusion of alternating planks. If you can install a standard click-system laminate, you can achieve a professional herringbone pattern with this product.

2. How does the "Sand Baronia" colour handle everyday dirt? The sandy beige tone is remarkably forgiving. Unlike very dark or very light floors, this mid-toned, multi-tonal oak grain is excellent at camouflaging light dust and micro-scratches, keeping your floor looking pristine between cleans.

3. Does this 8mm laminate feel solid underfoot? Yes. When paired with a high-quality, high-density underlay from Floorstore Direct, this 8mm laminate provides a firm, premium feel with excellent sound reduction, closely mimicking the experience of a solid wood floor.

Recommended Underlay

The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Egger laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
