Timeless Beauty Meets Modern Durability: Egger Natural Casella Oak

Searching for a floor that balances the warm, sun-kissed charm of real timber with the relentless durability required for modern Irish life? Look no further than Egger Natural Casella Oak. A standout in the prestigious Egger Nature Sense range, this floor features an elegant, floret-patterned oak grain that mimics the amazingly realistic character of oiled veneer. Its rich, natural oak tones bring an instant sense of warmth and brightness, making it the perfect foundation for any interior design, from classic rustic to Scandi-minimalism.

Why Natural Casella Oak is the Ultimate All-Rounder

The Natural Casella Oak 8mm is far more than just a beautiful surface. Built with an AC4 durability rating, this floor is specifically engineered for heavy residential use and medium commercial environments. Whether it’s a busy family hallway, a bustling kitchen, or a stylish home office, it is designed to resist scratches, impacts, and the fading effects of UV light.

However, the real secret to its success is the Aqua CLIC it! technology. This innovative installation system from Egger provides 24-hour water resistance, effectively sealing the joints and protecting the HDF core from everyday spills and dampness. This makes it a safe, stylish choice for moisture-prone areas like:

  • Bathrooms and Kitchens: Bring the luxury of wood into wet zones without the worry of warping.
  • Entrance Halls: Stand up to the Irish weather and wet footsteps with ease.
  • Open-Plan Living: Create a seamless, flowy look across your entire ground floor.

Ask a Question

1. Can I install Natural Casella Oak over underfloor heating? Yes! This 8mm laminate is highly compatible with water-based underfloor heating systems. Its thermal conductivity ensures your room stays cozy and efficient while the floor remains structurally stable.

2. Is "Natural Pore" different from standard laminate textures? Absolutely. While cheaper laminates often feel smooth or plastic, the Nature Sense range uses advanced embossing. This aligns the physical texture you feel with the visual grain of the wood for a truly authentic, tactile experience.

3. What is the best way to clean water-resistant laminate? Thanks to its dirt-repellent surface, maintenance is a breeze. Use a regular sweep for dust and a damp (not soaking) microfiber mop with a dedicated laminate cleaner. The water-resistant core provides peace of mind, but we always recommend wiping up standing water within 24 hours.

Recommended Underlay

The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Egger laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
