Product Description

Rustic Refinement: Elevate Your Interior with Egger Grey Soria Oak

If you’re searching for a floor that effortlessly bridges the gap between cozy traditionalism and sleek modernism, Egger Grey Soria Oak is the ultimate choice. Part of the prestigious Egger Nature Sense range, this floor features a captivating greyish-brown oak palette. It’s designed to bring the raw, authentic beauty of natural timber—complete with fine wood pores and elegant grain patterns—into the heart of your home, creating an atmosphere that is both grounded and sophisticated.

At Floorstore Direct, we have built a reputation as the premier destination in Ireland to buy laminate flooring. With our expert teams in Galway and Tullamore and our seamless nationwide delivery service, we ensure that every customer receives the high-quality products and technical support needed to transform their living space.

Why Grey Soria Oak is the Smart Choice for Irish Homes

The Grey Soria Oak 8mm laminate is much more than just a stylish surface. It is a high-performance floor engineered to meet the demands of modern Irish life. Boasting an AC4 durability rating, it is tough enough to handle high-traffic areas like busy hallways, family living rooms, and light commercial spaces.

But what truly sets this Egger flooring apart is its 24-hour water resistance. Equipped with the innovative Aqua CLIC it! installation system, Grey Soria Oak provides a reliable barrier against moisture. This makes it a game-changer for rooms once considered “off-limits” for laminate, such as:

  • Kitchens: Where everyday spills and splashes are no longer a cause for panic.
  • Bathrooms: Bringing the warmth of wood into humid environments with peace of mind.

  • Entrance Halls: Standing up to wet shoes and umbrellas on those classic rainy Irish days.

Ask a Question

1. Is Grey Soria Oak compatible with underfloor heating? Absolutely. This 8mm laminate is highly efficient when paired with water-based underfloor heating systems, ensuring your home remains cozy and energy-efficient throughout the year.

2. How does the "Nature Sense" texture differ from standard laminate? Unlike basic laminates that can feel "plastic," the Nature Sense range uses advanced embossing to synchronize the physical texture with the visual woodgrain. This gives the Grey Soria Oak an authentic, tactile feel that is virtually indistinguishable from real wood.

3. What is the best way to maintain the water-resistant surface? Maintenance is simple! While the floor can handle moisture for 24 hours, we recommend regular sweeping and the use of a damp (not soaking wet) mop with a laminate-safe cleaner to keep the grain looking sharp and the joints protected.

Recommended Underlay

The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Egger laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
