Our Natural Collection is a stunning range of brushed engineered floors. The brushed finish is designed to highlight the grain and natural texture throughout the board. Because our Natural Collection Liffey has a slight smoked finish and whitewashed stain, it will suit any room. Our Natural Collection has a 4mm solid layer pressed onto a multi layer plywood so it brings stability to your floor. Because it is an engineered floor, it is suitable for underfloor heating. Product Description
Discover the perfect balance between natural beauty and modern sophistication with Nature Liffey, a premium engineered wood floor available exclusively from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s most trusted name for engineered flooring and hardwood floors. With its elegant mix of smoked, brushed, and whitewashed tones, this 14mm engineered floor captures the timeless appeal of real oak while offering all the strength and stability that contemporary craftsmanship provides.
Each plank of Nature Liffey is carefully smoked to enrich the wood’s natural grain, giving it subtle depth and warm undertones. The surface is then brushed to enhance texture before being whitewashed for a beautifully balanced finish — where rustic charm meets modern brightness. Finally, a matt lacquered coating is applied to protect the surface while preserving the natural look and feel of the timber. The result is a truly unique floor that feels organic yet refined, light yet full of character.
The 14mm engineered construction ensures durability and stability, making it an ideal choice for Irish homes where temperature and humidity can vary. Unlike solid wood, engineered floors are less prone to movement, providing long-lasting performance without compromising on the authenticity of real hardwood. Whether you’re renovating a cosy cottage or designing a contemporary open-plan space, Nature Liffey offers a perfect foundation that blends style with practicality.
Installation is straightforward and flexible thanks to the tongue and groove system, which allows the floor to be either glued directly to the subfloor or floated over an underlay. This adaptability makes it suitable for both professional installations and DIY projects, ensuring a perfect fit and a seamless finish throughout your home.
The smoked and whitewashed finish of Nature Liffey makes it incredibly versatile, complementing both bright, coastal-inspired interiors and more rustic, natural design schemes. Its light yet warm tone adds a feeling of openness and space, reflecting light beautifully to create an airy and inviting atmosphere. Whether paired with contemporary furniture or classic pieces, this floor enhances every room with timeless elegance.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive
Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Nature Engineered Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
