Our Natural Collection is a stunning range of brushed engineered floors. The brushed finish is designed to highlight the grain and natural texture throughout the board. Because our Natural Collection Lagan has a slight smoked finish and natural stain, it will suit any room. Our Natural Collection has a 4mm solid layer pressed onto a multi layer plywood so it brings stability to your floor. Because it is an engineered floor, it is suitable for underfloor heating. Product Description
Immerse your home in warmth, depth, and authentic character with Nature Lagan, a beautifully designed engineered wood floor that captures the true essence of natural oak. Available exclusively from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading destination for engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this 14mm deep smoked oak floor brings together timeless beauty, rustic charm, and lasting performance — perfect for both traditional and contemporary Irish homes.
Each plank of Nature Lagan is expertly deep smoked to enrich the natural tones of the oak, resulting in a rich, luxurious brown hue with subtle variations and striking grain definition. The brushed surface accentuates the wood’s texture, highlighting every knot and contour for an authentic, tactile feel underfoot. Finished with a matt lacquer, this floor achieves the perfect balance between natural elegance and modern protection, providing a subtle sheen that enhances the beauty of the timber while guarding against everyday wear and tear.
As a rustic grade floor, Nature Lagan celebrates the natural imperfections that make real hardwood so distinctive. Each plank showcases unique variations in colour, natural knots, and charming grain details that tell the story of the wood. This character-rich design makes it ideal for homeowners who appreciate the organic beauty of nature — perfect for creating cosy living spaces, inviting hallways, or refined dining areas that feel warm and lived-in.
Engineered for strength and stability, this 14mm multi-layered floor combines the appearance of solid wood with the structural advantages of modern engineering. Its innovative construction ensures that the floor remains stable even as Ireland’s climate shifts between warm summers and damp winters. Unlike traditional solid oak floors, engineered flooring is less prone to expansion and contraction, making it a reliable and durable choice for any environment.
The tongue and groove system allows for easy and flexible installation, whether you choose to float the floor over an underlay or glue it directly to the subfloor. This system guarantees a tight, seamless fit that enhances both comfort and visual appeal.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive
Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Nature Engineered Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
