Product Description
Bring understated elegance and natural sophistication into your home with Monolam Oak Nude, a stunning engineered wood floor that captures the essence of contemporary design and timeless craftsmanship. Available from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading destination for engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this 14mm oak floor features a soft light stained, brushed, and lacquered finish, creating a beautifully balanced tone that feels fresh, modern, and effortlessly stylish.
Each plank of Monolam Oak Nude is designed to highlight the true character of European oak. The light stain gives the floor a subtle, neutral hue that enhances its natural warmth while maintaining a bright, airy appearance — perfect for modern interiors seeking a clean, minimalist aesthetic. The brushed surface gently accentuates the wood’s natural grain, adding texture and depth to the finish, while the lacquered coating provides a layer of durable protection with a smooth, low-sheen appearance. The result is a floor that looks naturally refined, feels soft underfoot, and performs beautifully in both residential and commercial spaces.
The universal grading of this floor showcases all the natural variations that make oak such a timeless and versatile wood. Each board includes a mix of all grades — from the smooth elegance of cleaner planks to those with knots, subtle sapwood, and tonal differences — creating a unique yet harmonious surface. This mix brings character and warmth without feeling overly rustic, making Monolam Oak Nude a perfect match for both traditional and modern Irish homes.
Built for strength and performance, this 14mm multi-layered engineered floor offers superior stability compared to solid oak. Engineered flooring is specially designed to handle Ireland’s changing climate, resisting expansion, contraction, and warping caused by fluctuations in humidity and temperature. Its durable construction ensures that your floor remains smooth, secure, and beautiful for years to come, combining the authenticity of real wood with the practicality of modern flooring technology.
Installation is simple and versatile. Monolam Oak Nude can be glued directly to the subfloor for a firm, permanent bond or floated using a tongue and groove system for quicker installation and added flexibility. Both methods provide a seamless, elegant finish that enhances the natural beauty of the oak while offering long-lasting performance and comfort.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive
Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Monolam Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
