Product Description
If you love the look of authentic oak with a modern, refined finish, Monolam Oak Natural is the perfect choice. Available exclusively from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading destination for engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this premium 14mm oak floor combines timeless beauty with exceptional durability. Featuring a stunning brushed and lacquered finish, Monolam Oak Natural showcases the true character of oak in all its natural glory — making it the ideal foundation for any interior design.
Each plank of Monolam Oak Natural celebrates the warmth, grain, and texture that make oak one of the most popular choices for Irish homes. The brushed surface enhances the natural beauty of the timber, gently drawing out the grain and creating a tactile texture that feels organic underfoot. This process gives the floor depth and dimension, capturing the authentic charm of real wood. The lacquered finish adds a smooth, protective layer that preserves the floor’s natural tone while offering long-lasting resistance to scratches and everyday wear. The result is a floor that’s both stunning and practical — easy to maintain while retaining its rich, natural look for years to come.
The universal grading of this floor embraces all the natural features that make oak flooring so special. Each board includes a mix of grades, featuring knots, sapwood, and gentle tonal variations that add character and individuality to every installation. This balanced blend of clean and rustic elements gives Monolam Oak Natural a timeless versatility — perfect for both contemporary interiors and traditional homes. Whether it’s used in a sleek urban apartment, a cosy cottage, or a modern open-plan space, this oak floor brings warmth, balance, and sophistication to any setting.
Crafted for strength and stability, this 14mm multi-layered engineered floor offers exceptional performance and reliability. Unlike solid wood, engineered flooring is designed to withstand changes in temperature and humidity, making it ideal for Ireland’s unpredictable climate. Its layered construction ensures long-term stability, preventing warping or movement while maintaining the natural look and feel of solid oak.
Installation is flexible and straightforward. Monolam Oak Natural can be glued directly to the subfloor for a solid, long-lasting fit or floated using a tongue and groove system for a quicker, more adaptable installation. Both methods ensure a seamless, elegant finish that enhances the beauty of your space and provides a comfortable, luxurious feel underfoot.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive
Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Monolam Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
