Product Description
Bring timeless charm and reliable performance into your home or commercial space with Traditional Character Oak, part of the Knight Tile Rigid Core range from Karndean. Now available at FloorStore Direct – Ireland’s most trusted flooring specialist – this floor blends the rustic beauty of traditional oak with the benefits of cutting-edge rigid core vinyl technology.
Drawing inspiration from aged oak floorboards found in classic country homes and heritage properties, Traditional Character Oak features warm golden tones, visible knots, and natural grain patterns that offer depth and authenticity. Its traditional colouring adds warmth and richness to any interior, making it perfect for period-style renovations, farmhouse kitchens, and cosy living areas – while its neutral palette also adapts beautifully to contemporary design schemes.
Crafted using Karndean’s K-Core® technology, this rigid core LVT provides outstanding dimensional stability and strength, allowing installation directly over most existing hard floors without the need for adhesive or extensive subfloor preparation. It’s the ideal flooring choice for busy family homes or renovation projects where minimal disruption and fast installation are priorities.
The 5G click-locking system ensures a secure, gap-free fit, making it suitable for both DIY installers and professional fitters. And thanks to the built-in acoustic backing layer, Traditional Character Oak offers excellent sound reduction – up to 19dB – making it ideal for upper-storey rooms, apartments, and open-plan living spaces where noise reduction is essential.
Fully waterproof and easy to maintain, this floor performs brilliantly in high-traffic areas such as kitchens, utility rooms, and hallways. Its tough PU-coated wear layer provides protection against scratches, spills, and stains, while still delivering the soft, tactile feel of real wood underfoot.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Karndean Rigid Core Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
