Product Description
Infuse your interiors with bold, modern sophistication using Honed Charcoal Slate, a luxury vinyl tile (LVT) from the Karndean Knight Tile Rigid Core collection. Exclusively available from FloorStore Direct – Ireland’s number one flooring retailer – this floor brings the timeless elegance of slate into your space, paired with the innovation and reliability of Karndean’s renowned rigid core technology.
Honed Charcoal Slate captures the natural beauty of real slate with deep, smoky greys and charcoal tones that create a dramatic yet refined aesthetic. The stone-effect design is subtly honed for a smoother, more polished finish, ideal for contemporary spaces looking for depth, contrast, and character. It pairs perfectly with industrial-style interiors, sleek modern kitchens, monochromatic colour schemes, and high-contrast décor elements.
Engineered with Karndean’s advanced K-Core® rigid core construction, this floor is not only beautiful but incredibly practical. It provides superior stability and strength, allowing installation over most existing subfloors – even those that are slightly uneven – without the need for extensive prep work. It’s a go-to option for homeowners and tradespeople alike looking to save time during renovations or fit-outs.
Fitted with an intuitive 5G click-locking system, Honed Charcoal Slate offers fast, glue-free installation with precision and ease. The result is a seamless finish that’s both stylish and functional. Whether you’re working on a large-scale project or a single-room upgrade, it’s designed for stress-free fitting with minimal disruption.
The built-in acoustic backing layer significantly reduces noise transmission (up to 19dB), making it a smart choice for apartments, upstairs rooms, or busy family homes where sound control matters. The surface is also fully waterproof, scratch-resistant, and stain-resistant, making it ideal for moisture-prone areas like bathrooms, kitchens, and utility rooms.
Additionally, Honed Charcoal Slate is compatible with underfloor heating, offering comfort underfoot and practical warmth all year round.
At FloorStore Direct, we proudly stock Karndean Honed Charcoal Slate, available to view in our Galway and Tullamore showrooms or delivered directly to your door with nationwide shipping across Ireland. Trust our team to guide you in finding a floor that’s not only stylish, but built to last.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Karndean Rigid Core Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
