Product Description
Classic style meets modern craftsmanship with Langley Oak Herringbone, a beautifully detailed engineered herringbone floor that brings timeless elegance and durability to any home or commercial space. Available exclusively from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading destination for engineered flooring, herringbone floors, and hardwood floors, this premium 18mm oak herringbone features a smooth matt lacquer finish that enhances the natural beauty of oak while providing a durable, easy-to-maintain surface.
Each plank of Langley Oak Herringbone showcases the warm tones and natural texture that make oak one of the most desirable flooring choices. The matt lacquer finish highlights the grain and depth of the wood while maintaining a soft, natural look. This low-sheen coating provides the perfect balance between aesthetics and practicality — it protects the surface from everyday wear and scratches while preserving the authentic beauty of real oak. The result is a floor that feels warm and natural underfoot, radiating understated luxury and charm.
The rustic A/nature grading of Langley Oak Herringbone celebrates the subtle imperfections that make hardwood so unique. Each block features gentle colour variations, the occasional knot, and touches of sapwood, offering a harmonious blend of character and refinement. The variation across the boards ensures no two floors are ever identical, giving every installation its own distinct personality. When laid in its classic herringbone pattern, the design adds movement, depth, and sophistication, transforming your interior into a space that feels both timeless and contemporary.
Crafted with precision and built to last, this 18mm multi-layered engineered floor offers superior stability and performance. Unlike solid wood, engineered flooring is specifically designed to resist the effects of humidity and temperature changes — a key advantage in Ireland’s variable climate. Its durable construction ensures the floor remains smooth, stable, and beautiful for years, making it suitable for both residential and commercial spaces.
For the best results, Langley Oak Herringbone must be glued directly to the subfloor, ensuring a solid, long-lasting installation that perfectly aligns the pattern and enhances the natural acoustics of the room. Once installed, the floor exudes craftsmanship, quality, and elegance — the hallmark of premium engineered wood flooring.

Recommend Adhesive
Our Engineered Herringbone must be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Kinnitty Herringbone is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
