Product Description
If you’re searching for a laminate floor that delivers classic oak style with modern, heavy-duty performance, King Floor Plus Westminster Oak is an exceptional choice. This 12mm thick, long and wide laminate flooring from Kronopol combines a beautifully natural oak colour with outstanding durability, making it ideal for busy Irish homes. Supplied by FloorStore Direct, this is laminate flooring designed to look elegant, feel substantial, and perform reliably for years.
Natural Oak Style in Long and Wide Planks
King Floor Plus Westminster Oak features a warm, natural oak tone that never goes out of style. The colour closely mirrors real hardwood flooring, offering a timeless look that works effortlessly in both modern and traditional interiors. Subtle grain detailing and realistic texture give the floor depth and authenticity, ensuring it feels natural rather than manufactured.
The long and wide planks enhance the sense of space, creating a seamless and flowing finish that suits open-plan living areas, large rooms, and contemporary layouts. This plank format helps achieve a high-end aesthetic that closely resembles real timber floors, making Westminster Oak a popular choice for homeowners seeking a premium finish without the maintenance of solid wood.
AC6 Rated Laminate Built for Demanding Homes
Engineered for performance, King Floor Plus Westminster Oak is AC6 rated, placing it among the most durable laminate floors available. This high wear rating makes it suitable for heavy domestic use and even light commercial environments, offering excellent resistance to scratches, scuffs, and daily wear.
The 12mm thickness adds to the premium feel underfoot while also helping with sound reduction, making rooms feel more solid and comfortable. This is laminate flooring that doesn’t just look good — it feels robust and well-built from the moment it’s installed.
Water Resistant and Easy to Maintain
This Kronopol laminate floor is also water resistant, making it a practical and reliable option for kitchens, hallways, dining rooms, and other high-traffic areas. Everyday spills and moisture are far less of a concern, giving you peace of mind without compromising on style.
Installation is straightforward thanks to a modern click system, allowing for quick and accurate fitting. Once installed, maintenance is refreshingly simple. Unlike real wood flooring, there is no need for sanding, oiling, or refinishing — regular sweeping and occasional damp mopping will keep the floor looking its best.

Recommended Underlay
The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Kronopol laminate flooring is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
