Product Description
For a bold, contemporary look that doesn’t compromise on warmth or natural charm, Kahrs Oak Concrete offers the perfect balance. Now available at FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s trusted flooring specialist, this premium engineered oak floor brings a raw, industrial edge to interior design without losing the timeless appeal of real wood.
Part of the innovative Kahrs Life Collection, Oak Concrete features a unique grey-toned finish that mimics the cool appearance of polished concrete while showcasing the organic texture and grain of natural oak. This fusion of modern minimalism and authentic timber character makes it an ideal choice for urban apartments, contemporary homes, retail spaces, and design-led offices.
Each plank is brushed to subtly enhance the wood’s surface texture and finished with a natural oil. This low-sheen finish gives the appearance of untreated wood while offering excellent resistance to daily wear, scratches, and stains – ideal for busy households and commercial environments alike. The versatile grey hue acts as a neutral foundation, working effortlessly with monochromatic palettes, bold accent colours, or soft Scandi-inspired tones.
Kahrs Oak Concrete is constructed with a robust multi-layer engineered core, providing outstanding stability, especially in areas with fluctuating humidity – such as Irish homes. It’s fully compatible with underfloor heating systems, ensuring comfort underfoot all year round.
Installation is quick and precise thanks to Kahrs’ Woodloc® 5G click system, which ensures tight joints and a seamless, gap-free finish. Whether you’re working with a professional installer or managing your own renovation, Oak Concrete offers stress-free installation and long-lasting performance.
Sustainability is at the core of every Kahrs floor. Oak Concrete is manufactured from FSC-certified wood and finished with low-VOC oils, promoting healthier indoor environments and aligning with green building standards. By choosing Kahrs, you’re not just investing in premium aesthetics and performance – you’re making an environmentally responsible choice too.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive
Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Kahrs Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
