Product Description
Brighten your interiors with the light, airy elegance of Kahrs Herringbone White Oiled Oak, a premium engineered parquet floor that combines timeless herringbone design with a fresh, Scandinavian-inspired white oiled finish. Available now at FloorStore Direct, this floor is ideal for homeowners, designers, and architects seeking a calm, neutral backdrop with understated character and exceptional durability.
Crafted from the finest European oak, this herringbone floor is part of Kahrs’ renowned commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability. Each plank is finished with a natural white oil that softens the wood’s appearance without masking its beautiful natural features. The result is a surface that reflects light beautifully, helping to make smaller spaces feel larger and open-plan rooms feel bright and cohesive.
The herringbone pattern offers timeless sophistication, adding depth and visual interest to any space. Whether you’re renovating a Georgian townhouse, designing a minimalist modern home, or fitting out a boutique commercial space, Kahrs Herringbone White Oiled Oak delivers a look that is both classic and contemporary.
Built on Kahrs’ trusted three-layer engineered construction, this floor is highly stable and designed to perform in a variety of environments – particularly important in the Irish climate where temperature and humidity can fluctuate. It is also fully compatible with underfloor heating, making it an ideal choice for modern living.
Installation is achieved through a traditional tongue and groove system, suitable for professional fitters looking to create a clean, symmetrical herringbone layout. Once installed, the oiled finish can be maintained and refreshed easily, allowing the floor to age beautifully and gain more character over time.
As with all Kahrs flooring, Herringbone White Oiled Oak is produced using FSC-certified timber and finished with low-VOC natural oils, supporting healthier indoor air quality and responsible forestry. It’s a smart choice for homeowners who prioritise environmental sustainability without compromising on style or performance.

Recommend Adhesive
Our Engineered Herringbone must be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Kahrs Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
