Product Description
Bring a refined Nordic aesthetic to your home with the beautifully balanced Kahrs Herringbone Dim White, now available at FloorStore Direct – Ireland’s leading destination for high-end engineered wood flooring. This exquisite floor merges classic parquet elegance with contemporary light tones, offering a unique look that suits both traditional and modern Irish interiors.
Crafted from premium European oak, Herringbone Dim White features a carefully brushed surface and a subtle white stain that gently lightens the natural grain. This finish gives the floor a soft, washed appearance that enhances the wood’s natural character while maintaining a calm, minimalist palette – perfect for brightening up smaller spaces or complementing open-plan layouts.
The precision-cut herringbone pattern adds architectural sophistication and visual interest, making it ideal for living rooms, hallways, bedrooms or boutique commercial spaces where design matters. Unlike solid parquet, Kahrs Herringbone Dim White is made using a multi-layer engineered construction that delivers greater stability, less movement, and full compatibility with underfloor heating – a major plus for Irish homes.
Each board is pre-finished with a beautiful natural oil that will preserve the natural look and texture of raw oak. This ensures your floor remains beautiful for years to come.
Installation is achieved through a tongue and groove system, allowing for a tight, clean layout when fitted by a professional. Sustainability is at the heart of this product – all Kahrs floors are produced using responsibly sourced wood and low-VOC finishes that support a healthier indoor environment.
At FloorStore Direct, we’re proud to offer Kahrs Herringbone Dim White both online and in our Galway and Tullamore showrooms, with nationwide delivery available. Let our expert team help you choose a floor that’s not only stylish but built to last.

Recommend Adhesive
Our Engineered Herringbone must be directly glued to the subfloor. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Kahrs Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
