Product Description

There’s something effortlessly beautiful about the weathered, natural tones of driftwood. The Junckers Driftwood Grey 15mm Plank, available from FloorStore Direct, captures that coastal-inspired charm while delivering the strength and quality of genuine solid hardwood flooring. Whether you’re designing a contemporary city apartment or a relaxed countryside home, this floor adds instant character, warmth, and timeless elegance.

Crafted from 100% solid oak, each board is 15mm thick and 129mm wide, creating the perfect balance between refined proportions and lasting durability. The surface is stained in a stunning driftwood grey shade — a soft, washed tone that blends beautifully with both light and dark interiors. This natural colouring gives your space a calm, sophisticated look while allowing the oak’s grain to subtly show through.

While the Harmony Grade introduces subtle natural features such as small knots, gentle sapwood, and tasteful colour variations — the hallmarks of an authentic, characterful floor.

At FloorStore Direct, we know every home deserves a finish that fits its personality. That’s why the Junckers Driftwood Grey 15mm Plank comes in a range of finishes — matt, silk matt, ultra matt, and oiled. The ultra matt finish offers a contemporary, understated elegance, while the oiled version brings out the wood’s natural depth and texture. No matter which you choose, each finish provides long-lasting protection and an easy-to-maintain surface that stands up beautifully to everyday life.

This floor also offers remarkable installation versatility. It can be glued directly to the subfloor for maximum stability or floated using Junckers’ innovative clip system, making fitting quick, precise, and clean. Even better, it’s one of the very few solid floors that can be safely installed over underfloor heating, as long as the manufacturer’s guidelines are followed carefully. That means you can enjoy both warmth and authenticity — a true mark of quality and innovation.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive

Our Junckers Flooring can be fitted either with clips and underlay as part of Junckers unique floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

If you choose to float your floor the underlay you you must use Junckers c;ips, polyfoam underlay and sylvafix adhesive for the header joints. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. All solid floors must be left for a minimum of 2-3 weeks in the room to acclimatise. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Junckers Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Solid Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
