Junckers Black Oak Harmony is a staggering 20.5mmx140mm solid black oak floor. Black Oak was originally a natural product of the forest, yet it was no tree. In former days Black Oak occurred when an oak trunk had rested a few hundred years in marshland. A natural process turned the wood black. Junckers has recreated the distinct, exclusive expression through a unique full thickness vacuum dyeing process. Junckers are the premium in 100% Solid Hardwood, they boast a unique furniture quality finish, that will compliment any area in your home. The Harmony grade gives you a magnificent smooth finish with very little variation or knots. Our Junckers Black Oak Harmony Plank is also available in a Variation grade. If our 20.5mm board is too thick, it is also available in a 15x129mm board.

At FloorStore Direct, we know that every home deserves a finish that complements its unique style. That’s why the Junckers Black Oak Harmony Plank is available in a choice of matt, silk matt, ultra matt, or oiled finishes. Whatever your preference, every finish is designed to be durable, easy to maintain, and visually stunning.
When it comes to installation, this floor offers remarkable versatility. It can be glued directly to the subfloor for superior stability or floated using Junckers’ unique clip system, which makes installation efficient and secure. Even better, it’s one of the few genuine solid hardwood floors that can be installed over underfloor heating, provided the manufacturer’s instructions are carefully followed. Recommend Underlay/Adhesive
Our Junckers Flooring can be fitted either with clips and underlay as part of Junckers unique floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
If you choose to float your floor the underlay you you must use Junckers c;ips, polyfoam underlay and sylvafix adhesive for the header joints. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. All solid floors must be left for a minimum of 2-3 weeks in the room to acclimatise. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Junckers Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Solid Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
