Product Description

Immerse your home in warmth, elegance, and timeless character with High 5 Java Oak 150, a stunning engineered wood floor that beautifully combines rich natural tones with contemporary craftsmanship. Available exclusively at FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading supplier of engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this 18mm oak floor features a brushed texture, deep java stain, and matt lacquered finish, creating a luxurious and long-lasting surface that brings depth and sophistication to any space.

Each plank of High 5 Java Oak 150 is expertly brushed to highlight the intricate natural grain of the wood, enhancing its tactile feel and visual richness. The surface is then treated with a java-coloured stain, infusing the oak with a deep, coffee-toned warmth that adds atmosphere and refinement. The final matt lacquered finish offers a smooth, low-sheen look that protects the wood from everyday wear and tear while maintaining a natural, elegant appearance. This combination of finishes results in a floor that feels authentic underfoot and looks effortlessly stylish — a perfect choice for both classic and modern interiors.

The rustic grading of High 5 Java Oak celebrates the true beauty of natural timber. Each plank is full of character, showcasing knots, natural grain markings, and subtle tonal variations that make every board unique. This organic variation ensures a floor full of life and warmth, creating an inviting, handcrafted feel that works beautifully in Irish homes. Whether used in a cosy living room, a sophisticated dining area, or an open-plan kitchen, this engineered oak floor adds an instant sense of comfort and style.

Built for performance and designed to last, this 18mm multi-layered engineered floor offers exceptional stability and strength. Unlike solid oak, engineered flooring is designed to resist movement caused by humidity and temperature changes — a key advantage in Ireland’s variable climate. Its layered construction provides lasting durability while maintaining the authentic beauty of real hardwood flooring, giving you the best of both worlds: classic style and modern practicality.

Installation is flexible thanks to the tongue and groove system, allowing High 5 Java Oak to be floated over an underlay for a quicker installation or glued directly to the subfloor for a more solid, permanent fit. Both methods deliver a flawless, seamless appearance with a luxurious underfoot feel.

At FloorStore Direct, we’re proud to be Ireland’s number one choice for engineered and hardwood flooring. With over 20 years of experience, showrooms in Galway and Tullamore, and private flooring consultations with Siobhan, our expert team offers unbeatable quality, advice, and service.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive

Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our High 5 Floors is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
