Product Description

Step into timeless luxury with Heritage Oak Renoir, a stunning engineered wood floor that showcases the perfect balance of natural beauty, durability, and craftsmanship. Available exclusively at FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading destination for engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this premium 20mm oak floor offers the look, feel, and quality of traditional hardwood with all the benefits of modern engineering — making it a perfect choice for Irish homes that demand both elegance and performance.

Each plank of Heritage Oak Renoir is expertly brushed and finished with a matt lacquer, creating a beautiful, natural texture that highlights the intricate grain patterns of genuine oak. The brushing process enhances the tactile quality of the wood, giving it a soft, organic surface that’s pleasant underfoot. The matt lacquered finish protects the wood from everyday wear and tear while maintaining a natural, low-sheen appearance that exudes understated sophistication. The result is a floor that’s both stylish and practical — perfect for family homes, contemporary interiors, or classic spaces that need a touch of timeless charm.

The universal grading of Heritage Oak Renoir includes a carefully balanced mix of all oak grades, showcasing both smooth, refined planks and more characterful boards with knots and natural variations. This creates a beautifully authentic floor that feels warm, inviting, and full of personality. The blend of tones and textures ensures that no two boards are exactly alike — a true testament to the individuality and craftsmanship of real hardwood flooring.

Engineered for strength and stability, this 20mm multi-layered floor provides outstanding durability and long-lasting performance. Unlike traditional solid oak, engineered flooring is designed to resist expansion and contraction caused by changes in temperature and humidity — making it ideal for Ireland’s variable climate. This means your Heritage Oak Renoir floor will remain stable, smooth, and secure for years to come, while still offering the rich, luxurious look of solid hardwood.

The tongue and groove system offers flexibility during installation. Heritage Oak Renoir can be floated over an underlay for quicker installation or glued directly to the subfloor for a permanent, solid feel. Both methods deliver a flawless finish that enhances the overall look of your space while ensuring superior comfort and acoustic performance.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive

Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Heritage Engineered Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
