Product Description
Experience the perfect harmony of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design with Heritage Oak Laurens, a stunning engineered wood floor that brings warmth, depth, and modern sophistication to any home. Available exclusively from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading supplier of engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this 18mm masterpiece features a beautiful smoked and white matt lacquered finish that enhances the natural beauty of oak while adding a touch of refined elegance to every room.
Each plank of Heritage Oak Laurens is carefully smoked to deepen the oak’s natural tones, infusing it with rich brown and grey hues that highlight the unique patterns of the grain. The surface is then treated with a white matt lacquer, which softens the overall appearance, creating a striking contrast that feels both warm and contemporary. The result is a floor that combines earthy undertones with a light, airy finish — perfect for bright, open spaces or cosy, character-filled homes.
The matt lacquered finish gives the surface a smooth, satin texture that enhances the beauty of the oak while offering long-lasting protection from everyday wear and tear. Unlike high-gloss finishes, it maintains a natural look and feel, allowing the grain to take centre stage. The universal grading of Heritage Oak Laurens ensures each floor features a perfect mix of clean, elegant boards and more rustic planks with knots and natural variations. This balance gives the floor real personality, ensuring it suits both modern and classic interiors alike.
Built to perform as beautifully as it looks, this 18mm multi-layered engineered floor offers exceptional strength and stability. Unlike solid oak floors, engineered flooring is designed to resist movement caused by Ireland’s changing climate, ensuring your floor remains stable and flawless for years to come. Its robust construction delivers the authentic feel of solid hardwood with the added benefits of durability and versatility.
Installation is straightforward and flexible thanks to the tongue and groove system, which allows Heritage Oak Laurens to be either floated over an underlay for a fast and efficient fit or glued directly to the subfloor for a more permanent, professional installation. Either method provides a secure, seamless finish that enhances both the look and feel of your home.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive
Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Heritage Engineered Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
