Product Description

Add timeless charm and contemporary elegance to your home with Forest Lismore Oak, a stunning engineered wood floor that perfectly balances natural character with modern design. Available exclusively at FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s trusted leader in engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this beautifully crafted 14mm floor features a smoked and white matt lacquered finish that enhances the natural grain of the oak while delivering a sophisticated, light-filled look that works beautifully in any Irish home.

Each plank of Forest Lismore Oak is meticulously smoked to enrich the wood’s natural tones and bring out its deep, organic grain patterns. The process infuses the oak with warmth and subtle shading, creating a stunning backdrop of soft brown and grey undertones. It is then finished with a white matt lacquer, which adds a fresh, contemporary touch and a smooth, protective surface that maintains the natural look of the wood while guarding against daily wear and tear. This unique combination of smoked richness and white finish creates a floor that feels both rustic and refined — a perfect harmony of old-world character and modern sophistication.

The universal grading of Forest Lismore Oak ensures every plank showcases the natural diversity of real oak. It includes a combination of clean, elegant boards and more characterful pieces with visible knots, grain variations, and tonal differences. This blend adds depth, authenticity, and warmth to your interior, creating a floor full of life and individuality. Whether you’re styling a modern minimalist space, a cosy country home, or a contemporary apartment, this floor adapts effortlessly to any décor.

Built with precision and performance in mind, this 14mm multi-layered engineered construction provides exceptional strength and stability. Unlike traditional solid oak floors, engineered flooring is designed to withstand Ireland’s changing climate, resisting the natural expansion and contraction caused by temperature and humidity fluctuations. This ensures your floor remains smooth, secure, and flawless for years to come.

Installation is simple and flexible thanks to the tongue and groove system, which allows the floor to be floated over an underlay for easy installation or glued directly to the subfloor for a permanent, professional finish. The result is a strong, seamless surface that feels as luxurious as it looks.

At FloorStore Direct, we take pride in being Ireland’s number one destination for engineered and hardwood flooring. Recommend Underlay/Adhesive

Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.

If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Forest Engineered Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
