Product Description
Bring the pure beauty of real oak into your home with Esco Raw Look, a beautifully understated engineered wood floorthat celebrates the natural essence of timber in its most authentic form. Available exclusively from FloorStore Direct, Ireland’s leading supplier of engineered flooring and hardwood floors, this 14mm rustic-grade floor combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary performance, offering a timeless foundation for any interior.
Each plank of Esco Raw Look is finished with a high-quality UV oiled coating, designed to protect the surface while maintaining the raw, natural look of untreated wood. The oil penetrates deeply into the oak fibres, enhancing the grain’s detail while providing durable resistance against everyday wear and UV damage. The result is a soft, matte finish that feels organic underfoot and looks effortlessly elegant — ideal for bright, open spaces or homes seeking a natural, earthy aesthetic.
The beauty of the Raw Look lies in its simplicity. Its neutral, blonde tones and subtle variations allow it to blend seamlessly into a wide range of design styles — from modern minimalist interiors to rustic country homes. The rustic grade ensures that each board showcases the oak’s individual character, featuring charming knots, natural grain patterns, and gentle colour shifts that make every plank truly unique. This depth of character adds warmth and texture, bringing your space to life with the unmistakable appeal of genuine hardwood.
Constructed with precision engineering, this 14mm multi-layered floor offers the durability and stability that Irish homes require. Unlike traditional solid wood floors, engineered flooring is designed to withstand fluctuations in temperature and humidity, ensuring it remains stable and secure throughout Ireland’s changing climate. This means you can enjoy the beauty of natural oak without worrying about movement or warping over time.
The tongue and groove system makes installation flexible and straightforward, allowing the floor to be either floated over an underlay for added comfort or glued directly to the subfloor for a more permanent, seamless finish. Whichever method you choose, the Esco Raw Look provides a solid, stable surface with a flawless appearance that complements any room.

Recommend Underlay/Adhesive
Our Engineered Flooring can be fitted either over an underlay as part of a floating system or can be directly glued to the subfloor. Our advice would always be for you to glue your floor down if possible. This will provide a more solid and stable structure that will increase noise reduction, feel better underfoot and will not expand as much. In the long term it will also provide structural stability during any floor sanding. If you have underfloor heating a glued down floor eliminates air pockets and will then allow your heating to work more economically. You can view all our adhesives here.
If you choose to float your floor the underlay you choose can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Esco Engineered Flooring is pretty much the same as with most Engineered Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
