Ask a Question
1. Is Bracken Oak suitable for use with underfloor heating? Yes! This 8mm Kronotex floor is fully compatible with water-based underfloor heating systems. It offers excellent thermal conductivity, keeping your home cozy and energy-efficient throughout the winter.
2. How does the "beige" tone hide everyday wear? Beige is incredibly forgiving. Unlike very dark or very light floors, the multi-tonal grain of Bracken Oak is excellent at camouflaging light dust and micro-scratches, making it a very practical choice for homes with pets.
3. What is the difference between Dynamic and Dynamic Plus? The Dynamic Plus range features enhanced surface textures and more expressive decors. It is specifically designed to provide a more authentic look and feel than standard entry-level laminate ranges.
Recommended Underlay
The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Kronotex laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
