Rustic Charm Reimagined: The Bold Appeal of Kronotex Brunswick Oak
If you are looking to infuse your home with the raw, unrefined beauty of a country lodge while maintaining a modern, sophisticated edge, Dynamic Brunswick Oak is your perfect foundation. This standout floor from the world-renowned Dynamic range captures a unique “greige” aesthetic—a masterful blend of grey and brown tones that creates a moody, atmospheric backdrop for any room. With its deep, rustic character, including visible knots and weathered grain patterns, Brunswick Oak brings a sense of history and “industrial-chic” to your living space.
At Floorstore Direct, we have built a reputation as the best place in Ireland to buy laminate flooring. From our flagship showrooms in Galway and Tullamore to our seamless nationwide delivery service, we provide the expert local knowledge and premium Kronotex flooring that Irish homeowners trust to transform their properties.
Why Choose Kronotex Dynamic Brunswick Oak 8mm?
In the world of interior design, finding a floor that is both a visual showstopper and a practical workhorse can be difficult. However, the Brunswick Oak 8mm laminate is engineered to handle the “beautiful chaos” of a busy Irish household without breaking a sweat.
Key benefits of this 8mm laminate flooring include:
-
AC4 Durability Rating: This floor is built for high-traffic areas. Whether it’s a bustling hallway, a lively kitchen, or a busy living room, the AC4 surface is highly resistant to scratches, scuffs, and the daily wear of pets and children.
-
The Rustic Aesthetic: Unlike flat, uniform floors, Brunswick Oak celebrates imperfection. The heavy grain and grey-brown hues mask everyday dust and micro-scratches, keeping your floor looking pristine for longer.
-
German Engineering: Utilizing the world-class Kronotex Clic system, installation is fast, secure, and creates a seamless finish that trade professionals and DIY enthusiasts love.
-
Sustainability: Like all Kronotex products, this floor is manufactured from sustainable timber, ensuring a healthy indoor climate for your family.

Ask a Question
1. Is the grey-brown colour suitable for smaller rooms? Yes! Because Brunswick Oak is a mid-toned "greige," it adds depth without overwhelming a space. When paired with light walls and metallic accents, it can actually make a room feel more grounded and architecturally interesting.
2. Can I install this Kronotex floor over underfloor heating? Absolutely. Brunswick Oak is fully compatible with water-based underfloor heating systems. Its 8mm profile allows for excellent thermal conductivity, keeping your home warm and energy-efficient.
3. How do I maintain the rustic texture of this floor? Maintenance is effortless. The high-quality wear layer is dirt-repellent. A regular sweep or vacuum followed by a damp microfiber mop with a dedicated laminate cleaner is all you need to maintain that authentic oak look.
Recommended Underlay
The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Kronotex laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
