From our flagship showrooms in Galway and Tullamore to our efficient nationwide delivery service, we provide the expert local knowledge and top-tier products that turn renovation dreams into reality.
Why Deco Galleria Oak is the Ultimate Flooring Investment
In the world of interior design, light oak tones are a perennial favourite because they complement almost any decor—from coastal chic to rustic farmhouse. However, Deco Galleria Oak offers much more than just a pretty surface.
The 12mm thickness provides a substantial, solid feel underfoot that mimics real hardwood and offers superior acoustic insulation. But the real standout feature is the AC5 durability rating. As the highest residential grade available, this floor is “life-proof,” making it an ideal choice for:
-
Busy Family Hubs: Resisting the scratches, scuffs, and impacts of kids and pets.
-
High-Traffic Hallways: Standing up to the constant flow of daily life without showing wear.
-
Commercial Spaces: Tough enough for boutiques or offices while maintaining a residential warmth.
Beyond the Trend: A Timeless Classic
While many are currently focused on the geometric patterns of herringbone flooring, the classic wide-plank aesthetic of Deco Galleria Oak offers a sense of continuity and “flow” that never goes out of style. It is easy to install, easy to maintain, and—most importantly—built to last for decades.
Choosing Floorstore Direct means you are choosing quality. We source the most resilient decors and pair them with high-performance accessories, from moisture-barrier underlays to perfectly matched scotia. Discover why we are Ireland’s premier destination for 12mm laminate and give your home the golden glow it deserves.

Ask a Question
1. Is the light golden colour difficult to keep clean? Not at all. The multi-tonal grain of Galleria Oak is actually fantastic at masking light dust and footprints. Because the surface is dirt-repellent and anti-static, a quick sweep or a damp mop with a dedicated laminate cleaner is all you need.
2. Can I install this 12mm floor over underfloor heating? Yes. Deco Galleria Oak is fully compatible with water-based underfloor heating systems. Its dense 12mm HDF core retains heat effectively, providing a consistent and cozy warmth throughout your home.
3. What makes an AC5 rating better than standard laminate? Most standard laminates are AC3 or AC4. An AC5 rating means the wear layer is significantly thicker and more resistant to abrasion. It is designed to handle extreme foot traffic, ensuring your floor looks brand new for years longer than lower-rated alternatives.
Recommended Underlay
The underlay you choose for your new floor can be just as important as the floor itself as this is what will determine the feel and noise level under your foot. Furthermore if you have underfloor heating, the underlay you choose will determine the level of heat conductivity with some underlays allowing for a quicker heat transfer than others. Because of this, getting the right underlay is hugely important. You can view our entire underlay collection here.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Deco laminate floor is pretty much the same as with all Laminate Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet.
