Product Description
Contemporary Cool: Elevate Your Interior with Coretec XL End Belvoir
If you are looking for a floor that balances modern minimalism with architectural strength, Coretec XL End Belvoir is the definitive choice. Grey flooring has become a staple of high-end Irish design, but Belvoir takes this trend to a new level of luxury. Featuring a sophisticated grey oak colour with muted, silvery undertones, this floor provides a sleek, airy foundation that complements both vibrant accent colors and monochromatic palettes. Its 228mm wide planks create a sense of expansive flow, making any room feel more open, balanced, and intentionally designed.
At Floorstore Direct, we have earned our reputation as the best place in Ireland to buy LVT and SPC flooring. From our flagship showrooms in Galway and Tullamore to our fast nationwide delivery service, we specialize in bringing elite Coretec flooring to homeowners who refuse to compromise on either style or structural integrity.
The 15mm Titan: Why Thickness and SPC Matter
The “XL End” series represents the absolute peak of SPC flooring technology. While standard luxury vinyl tiles often feel thin underfoot, Coretec Belvoir boasts a massive 15mm total thickness. This substantial profile provides the solid, premium “thud” usually reserved for heavy solid hardwood, yet it remains completely “life-proof.”
Key features of this Coretec LVT include:
- 100% Waterproof Resilience: Designed for the humid Irish climate, this floor is immune to spills and moisture—making it the dream choice for kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms.
- Eco-Friendly Cork Backing: Sustainability meets comfort. The built-in cork underlay is a renewable resource that provides natural thermal insulation, keeping your home warmer while offering incredible sound reduction.
-
Modern Grey Aesthetic: The cool tones act as a natural light-box, reflecting light and masking everyday micro-scratches far better than darker floors.
-
Extreme Stability: The rigid Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) core ensures your floor stays perfectly flat and resists indentations from heavy furniture or high foot traffic.

Ask a Question
1. Is grey oak flooring still in style? Absolutely. Grey oak like the Belvoir decor has moved from a trend to a "modern classic." It is preferred by designers because it is incredibly versatile, acting as a neutral base that doesn't clash with wood furniture or bold wall colors.
2. Does the 15mm thickness affect installation over underfloor heating? Not at all. Despite its thickness, the SPC core is a fantastic conductor of heat. The natural properties of the built-in cork backing also help retain warmth, making it one of the most energy-efficient flooring options for heated subfloors.
3. Is the cork backing moisture-proof? Yes. Cork is naturally resistant to mould and mildew. Because it is integrated into the 100% waterproof SPC plank, it provides a hygienic, breathable base that remains stable even in splash-prone areas like kitchens.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Coretec Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
