1. Does the "Meadow" colourway have a high-contrast grain that might look "busy"? No, Meadow is specifically designed for a "soft-focus" aesthetic. While it captures the authentic texture of oak, the contrast between the base colour and the grain is very low. This creates a calm, consistent backdrop that allows the geometric beauty of the herringbone pattern to shine without clashing with your wallpaper or furniture.
2. How does the 8mm thickness of "Meadow" impact the installation over large open-plan areas? The 8mm thickness and rigid SPC core provide exceptional dimensional stability. In many large Irish extensions, you can lay Coretec Meadow across vast open-plan spaces (up to 400 square metres) without the need for unsightly expansion gaps or transition strips in the middle of the floor, creating a truly seamless look.
3. Will the light oak tones of "Meadow" show dark scuff marks from shoes? Meadow features a high-performance PU-coated wear layer that is designed to be highly resistant to scuffing. Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Coretec Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines.
