Product Description

The future is here with the beautiful, resilient, waterproof Coretec Herringbone Collection. An LVT floor with a difference. ABOUT CORETEC:

All Coretec Floors are 100% waterproof, kid proof and pet proof. Suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms, they won’t warp or buckle even if fully submerged in water. The 8mm thickness (unheard of in vinyl floors) provides structure and stability that cannot be matched. Coretec is easy to install, care for and clean and can be fitted on top of any hard surface.

CORK UNDERLAY:

Cork is a natural product that is one of the most sustainable materials around. It is harvested from the cork tree and can be re-harvested every decade without any damage to the tree. This makes it ideal for todays ecological concerns. The benefits of cork don’t just stop there. It is warmer, quieter and conceals imperfections better than most other underlays. Cork will also provide you with a natural protection against mould and mildew.

DIFFERENT STYLES OF FLOORING:

Coretecs Herringbone Collection comes in the following different styles:

  • Herringbone is a beautiful traditional herringbone style with a bevel on all 4 sides.
  • Herringbone Embossed is another traditional herringbone style but with a stunning textured finish.
  • Wide Herringbone is a staggering size of a board that fits in traditional herringbone pattern

*Not all colours come in all styles*

Coretec Herringbone Forest is also available in a matching straight plank floor.

Ask a Question

1. Does the "Forest" colourway vary significantly from plank to plank? To achieve an authentic "natural oak" look, Forest features a high degree of tonal variation. This mimics the natural growth of an oak tree, ensuring that once your herringbone floor is laid, it has a varied, "multi-tonal" finish. This variation is exactly what gives the floor its high-end, bespoke character.

2. Can I install Coretec Herringbone Forest in a sunroom with large glass doors? Yes. Coretec is designed with high-stability UV inhibitors. In many Irish homes with large south-facing glass extensions, natural timber can "tan" or bleach. Forest is engineered to remain colour-stable, though we always recommend using blinds during peak sun hours to protect all of your interior furnishings.

3. Does the 8mm thickness help with "hiding" a slightly uneven concrete floor? While we always recommend the flattest subfloor possible, the 8mm thickness and rigid SPC core of the Forest range are much more "forgiving" than thinner 4mm LVT. It can bridge minor grout lines or slight dips in a concrete screed without the pattern "telegraphing" through to the surface.

Fitting Guidelines

In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guide

The cleaning and maintenance of our Coretec Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop.  If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
