ABOUT CORETEC:
All Coretec Floors are 100% waterproof, kid proof and pet proof. Suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms, they won’t warp or buckle even if fully submerged in water. The 8mm thickness (unheard of in vinyl floors) provides structure and stability that cannot be matched. Coretec is easy to install, care for and clean and can be fitted on top of any hard surface.
CORK UNDERLAY:
Cork is a natural product that is one of the most sustainable materials around. It is harvested from the cork tree and can be re-harvested every decade without any damage to the tree. This makes it ideal for todays ecological concerns. The benefits of cork don’t just stop there. It is warmer, quieter and conceals imperfections better than most other underlays. Cork will also provide you with a natural protection against mould and mildew.

Ask a Question
1. Does the "Peruvia" colourway lean more towards a warm "mushroom" or a cool "industrial" grey? Peruvia sits perfectly in the warm-grey or "taupe" category. Unlike "Raven," which is starkly cool, Peruvia has a soft, earthy undertone that mimics the look of sun-bleached driftwood. In rooms with warm LED lighting, it pulls more towards a "mushroom" beige, making it feel very welcoming. In rooms with cooler, natural daylight, the grey "ash" tones become more prominent, giving the space a clean, contemporary edge without ever feeling "cold" or "blue."
2. How does the "extra-wide" 228mm plank width of Peruvia affect the look of a small room? While many believe that large planks only suit large rooms, Peruvia’s 230mm width and 1800mm length can actually make a smaller room appear less cluttered. By reducing the number of "seams" on the floor, you create fewer visual "grid lines" for the eye to process. In a modest-sized Irish bedroom or dining room, this results in a calmer, more expansive feel, particularly because the Peruvia colour is light enough to reflect plenty of ambient light.
3. Will the "Peruvia" visual show "pattern repeat" more clearly because of the larger 1800mm surface area?COREtec utilizes a high-definition film for the 1800 Series that features a long-cycle pattern repeat. Because the surface area of a single "Peruvia" plank is so large, the variations in the grain—such as the soft, swirling "cathedrals" and fine linear streaks—are more spread out. This makes it much harder for the eye to spot a repeating board compared to standard-sized vinyl planks. To ensure the most natural look, your installer should still "dry-lay" several boards from different packs to ensure a varied distribution of the grain.
Fitting Guidelines
In order for your new floor to perform to the best of its ability we advise using a skilled, professional fitter for the installation of your new floor. Prior to installation your floor must be checked to ensure it is level and free from moisture. Should there be any issues with this our levelling compounds and damp proof membranes are available here. It is vitally important, in particular with a floating floor that you do not fit any heavy objects (Such as fitted kitchens or islands) directly to the floor. An installation gap of 10-12mm must also be left around all 4 sides of the room including at doorways. Please refer to manufacturers guidelines for full installation instructions.
Cleaning & Maintenance Guide
The cleaning and maintenance of our Coretec Flooring is pretty much the same as with all Vinyl Flooring. A sweep of a brush is all it should take to remove light dirt from your floor. For mopping, it is important you use a damp mop rather than a wet mop. If your floor is too wet, over time it may cause issues from water penetrating the joints. We advise the use of a PH neutral floor cleaner to ensure no damage to the floor. Please make sure to also check the manufacturers guidelines. Also a spin mop or micro fibre mop should ensure the floor is not being overly wet. You can view all our Cleaning & Maintenance products here.
